As a former salesman, I like your persistence Jay!haha One other thing is it has a "Nissan Health Check" for one of the years missing. Had a look and while it doesn't replace a service it does give me a bit more confidence

Oh and just to mention I'd be getting either an AA or RAC inspection done after the bother I had after hearing so many horror stories It also has a cobra sports exhaust system (sorry forgot about that)

Hey guys, have just been to see a Zed (number 9) and I'm pretty keen to go for it. It's a 55 plate GT version but has a private plate included in the sale. It's got 55k on the clock but is in superb condition inside and out No mods at all which is what I'm looking for She's wanting 7800 for it which seems a good price The thing is though, while the woman is very nice she's not to up on the finer points regarding the car. The log book has a 2 year gap for servicing and while she says she's sure that it has been done she doesn't have the receipts. It has been serviced in 2011 but not 10 or 09. She's only had the car since early 2011 so doesn't even know where it would have been done. The mileage increase between the services seems totally reasonable. What are your thoughts regarding this affecting value etc?

Hey guys, bit of a silly question but here goes anyway. I'm looking to buy a Zed pretty soon and I've been to see quite a few..some with rays and some with the standard alloys. My questions is this…do rays count as non standard alloys for insurance policies? Cheers

He kindly got in touch but the issue I have is that anything past the 276bhp versions pushes the insurance to an unaffordable level1 Take a couple of spark plugs out Bobby its good that you're thinking ahead regarding insurance But if this is such an issue not sure how on earth you think you'll manage the upkeep of a 5+ year old 3.5L performance car Don't get me wrong - not trying to ridicule you - but do not underestimate the upkeep costs even for day to day non track use Totally understand what you're saying mate. Because I'm just turning 21 this month and have 0 no claims bonus my insurance for what will be 2 cars (keeping the old bravo at least until the middle of next year) is around 2500 (yeah I know, painful!). I'm in a fortunate position in that I have a great job especially for my age and because I'm away a fair bit due to it, I still live at home and therefore have no bills to pay So while I know up keep for a Zed will be expensive I'm confident I can easily cover it…however, I'm not in a position to shell out any more for insurance as a one off! So

Thanks for your reply. I have but because I'm so young and not driving too long the cost to insure an import + the added mods makes it way too much Thanks again though!

Hey guys, having been searching high and low for a 350z I'm becoming a bit disheartened! I'm looking for either Gun Metal Grey, Black or White (might consider Azzure). Coupe not convertible My budget is 9k I've been to see quite a few and all of them have had pretty major scratches etc Any help would be greatly appreciated…never know if anyone here is thinking about selling I'm in Fife/Dundee and often in Edinburgh and Glasgow. My work takes me all over the UK so will travel if the price is right!

Is that because it's coming up for winter? Nope ..... IMO 2005 car with 40000 miles is not worth more than £8000 ....... Looking at most for sale privately the average mileage/age for £8k seem to be around 52k and 04/05. I'll definitely bare your thoughts in mind though mate - I'm going to go and have a look at it tomorrow

Hey guys, I'm looking to buy a Zed fairly soon. I've been to see quite a few...my budget is 9k and I've been amazed by the difference in the standard of condition among them! One has really stuck out to me; It's a white 350Z, 04 Plate with 62000 miles on the clock It's had a full respray colour change and has Dotz alloys. The thing is according to Parkers and What Car valuations indicate it's worth around 7k-7.5k. The chap is looking for 7995 and has said he's not willing to take anything lower due to the cost of the respray and alloys. The condition is pretty much spot on, the odd small scratch on the alloys and a few scuffs inside but that's about it. What are your thoughts? Is it worth paying a little extra or should I stop letting me heart rule my head and walk away from this particular one
