Whats an el wire? Sort of like neons? basically think "Tron" .... its the same stuff that was used to create the Neon typ effects in it. Beauty of it is... 1) The whole length of the wire illuminates. 2) Its not a light source as such but more of an accent 3) The switchgear to power it up is pretty simple [just use the 12v converters] i was looking at doing something with this stuff for the rear strut brace. just need the time to sit down and work through it.

Just out of interest .... rather than LED's why not use EL-Wire as its a lot subtler [thats surely not a real word] and it doesnt have the "spottyness" of LED's as the whole length of wire illuminates?

Its only a partial outage, therefore not effecting every o2 connected device. From what we've seen here its only affecting the newer handsets/connections ...e.g iphone 4s's The vast bulk of our M2M 3g sims are working fine.

Am i the only one that was watching that thinking "would of hit that..", "and that", "ooh and that", "thats a nice field ...would of been in that"?

the strut covers just unclip with some gentle motivation ....but check double check and check again... i had the same issue and it was all pointing to the strut covers but after 3 months of pulling them apart it turned out to be the little rubber plug things either side of the boot lid. These are the 2 stoppers that can only be seen when the boot lid is open, and dont squeak for some time after its closed...lube them up just to be sure.

only caught a glimpse of it in the dark ... it was the colour that made me go .. "ooh a z" by which point i'd passed it ...

yup spotted... sunset coupe with what looked like a veilside rear spoiler [it looked mooooosive in the dark... like a spoiler driving along with an aftermarket 350 attached] 17:30'ish friday night... coming up from the morrisons roundabout..

It has a Uk rear bumper.. It has brembo's It has no CC Is that a standard stereo [Dennon not Bose]? It has normal 18"s fitted It has no leather inserts on the central tunnel.. as for the dealer description.... Ft Fog lights ....errr i dont think so Sports Bumpers .....WTF are they? Auto Lights......well the courtesy light does come on when the engine is switched off.. Its not a UK GT ... import from ireland? it does have the silver sticky things on the airvents though ...

perhaps....and i may be going out on a limb here ... the fabled Aligator wrap is going to make an appearance?

Spotted a REd Coupe with what looked to be a full nismo bodykit fitted in the queue of traffic approaching the A59 roundabout on the York Ring round about 08:30 this morning .. much headlight flashing and waving ensued..

yup bit the bullet today and got a new shiney pair of fronts for the winter... £300 for 2 new re040's, fitted and aligned. What a difference from the fu....umm knackered set that came off. Stering seems sharper, less tramlining, and nice and quiet. Might have to see if they are going to do the rears for that price, then i can get rid of the high quality eastern european recycled tractor tyres i have on and put re040's on each corner... just thought i'd share as i thought i had a reasonable deal on em.

Had similar the other week driving through York ...Bus load of Japanese tourists stopping and taking pics of it at the traffic lights near Lendal Bridge. Had a nice thumbs up from an M3 driver giving a bootful from the M1 down the Parkway in Sheffield and realising that i wasnt dropping back from him before he had to slam the anchors on to avoid the van in front of him as i peeled off down the Morrisons sliproad. i find my self driving whilst giggling like a girl when shizzle like that happens ...which, oddly, is failry often.

Update : got the motor.... its maaaad. First car i've had where i switch the radio off just to listem to the engine. It is a bit juicy blipping the throttle all the time but i'm sure i'll get over it .. will post pics as soon as i sort out a camera

Holy z batfans... 04 plate black 350z spotted pulling out of the car park after Batman live last night. Possibly the same Z seen heading into leeds/Bradford airport at 1500 the day before..

At the risk of sounding like a total nub ... what are the little bits of addon bodywork that sit just behind the wheel arches [front and rear] that stop some of the crap from the wheels flicking up and hitting the bodywork ... no not mudflaps ....and not the "spats" you see on the nismo body kits.

Just saying boo .... picking up my z at the end of next week .. a nice shiney 2006 stock GT. Looking forward to the silliness of a decent ride as its an upgrade from my old 99 celica. Nothing planned for the car in the way of upgrades yet, although i'm thinking the first port of call is to P'borough to get the posh stone chip protector fitted to the front end and maybe the MP3 player hack [depends on how well the old sony cassette conversion thingy works in it]
