Thanks matey! I've been waiting 'til the garage had sorted out the car mechanically before taking him to the bodyshop - was definitely gonna update my thread on the bonnet spilt once I'd made progress on that front as I know there's nothing worse than a thread without a resolution! It looks like the previous owner had a dint in the bonnet filled and it's this filler, perhaps not done very well, which has caused the spilt/scratch somehow. I'm definintely going to get a bonnet re-spray but as said above waiting 'til the garage had finished with it first. To be fair on the garage they do seem good sorting my various problems out it's just they've really taken their time doing so. One good thing that's come of all this is that I'm stupidly excited about collecting the Zed - just as much if not more so than I did before collecting for the first time! S.

Just having a bit of a rant! Owned my Zed for just over 6 weeks and it's been back with the garge for pretty much the last 3 weeks whilst they've been sorting some bits which should have been done before purchase. Grrr! First was wheel bearings then was back in for a suspect gear box bearing which has turned out to be a clutch plate issue Anyhoo, I'm hoping that I'll be reunited with my beloved Zed tomorrow. Else they'll meet Angry Squee which will not be nice for them! S.

Yeah I've caught people taking pics of their mates posing next to my Zed teehee. As long as they keep their mits off mind! S.

Looks fantastic Steve350 - glad you managed to find what you were after as I know you were Nismo hunting at the same time that I was! Was this car the one from Liverpool or another one? S.

Somewhat off-topic but does anyone know how many miles you have left when the fuel light comes on in a Ford Ka? I'm running a courtesy car at the mo and I'm loathe to put any petty in unless I have to! S.

Hi, I've only had my Zed about a month so still learning all of the ins and outs. My fuel warning light came on last week and the display went from showing 39 miles to 36 and then 27 in a couple of minutes (I was doing about 50mph on country roads). It then fluctuated between 27 and 36 for about 10 minutes before, I assume, thinking I had over 40 miles remaining and the light went off and the display returned to normal (ie showing the time). Is this normal for the 350z? S.

Spied the above at about 5.15-ish tonight. Too far away to wave and in a crap-bag courtesy car (AGAIN!) so too embarrassed to wave too. Looked good though - will give a wave next time! S.

just wonderin...has anyone got - or could post a link to - some 'before and after' pics of spacers on Zeds for a newbie like me? I know you all like 'show and tell'! Thanks, S.

Have you got any tips for decent lotions and potions for yellow cars Karl? My better half has just bought a Leon FR which is looking slightly dull and most google searches throws up stuff like Megs yellow wax which, despite the name, doesn't really fit the bill! Sorry to go OT by the way! Cheers, S.

If you think this is bad just wait 'til you see the craze for "well worn shoes"!

Cheers for your replies - thought it was normal but thought I'd better check whilst the Zed's still in warranty and back at the garage on Monday I've certainly not mucked about with them - will get Mr Squee to have a dig about and check tomorrow. Don't think the previous owner did many mods though but as I'm still very new to the world of Zeds I'm still very much on a learning curve. Thanks again, S.

From searching this forum I think I know the answer but just want a bit of clarification as my Zed's going back to the garage under warranty next week (gear box bearing issue) and if there's another prob with it then want to get it sorted.... Is it normal when flooring the Zed for the drivers footwell to get very hot very quick? It seems that other users say that heat from long journeys is normal but this is a slightly different issue. Thanks! S.

It's probably the same cnuts that robbed him who set the 'charity' page up! S

Hi Viper, Just being nosey here - what sort of printer are you using to print onto vinyl? I'm guessing a solvent one of some sort? I use a lot of a vinyl in my business (both for textiles and signage) and I really want to start printing directly onto it. Your Z logos look pretty mint by the way! Cheers! S

wow, that sounds like it could be a scene straight from that Danny Dyer 'Outlaw' film... good on Millwall for once! S.

That will be on Saturday 7th April 2012 when the mighty Pompey come to town S.

Yeah, cos you don't get any riots there do you?!? S

Don't give them ideas..or they will petrol bombed the new stadiums and sport facilities next I for one wouldn't be too fussed if White Heart Lane was burned to the ground! Seriously though you'd have thought that the coppers would have some sort of 'plan b' after they lost control after the anti cut protests earlier in the year.

Might you be considered high risk due to your job? Do you cover very high miles? Don't want to rub it in but Sky were very good with me when I insured with them last month - I'm 28 (just!), had no NCB in my own name (although 10 years as a named driver which was taken into consideration). My previous car was a 1.8 Almera and before that a 106. When asked if I'd ever driven a Zed before or any other performance car I told them the truth which was only on the Zed's test drive! And they quoted me £850 (excess £350). Hope you manage to get a better quote, S.

Makes sense but I can't be the only one that doesn't like the thought of only half a bonnet done as you'd think, and which Waltzinblack confirms, that you'd get a visable line on the bonnet where the vinyl stops. I can't imagine the cost of the extra vinyl being an issue and I wouldn't have thought it was too much extra work for the fitter to cover the whole bonnet but could be wrong I guess! S.

Saw the above this afternoon at about 3.30pm (was a coupe, not the spotted roadster from a few weeks back). I'm still awaiting my first wave so got incredibly excited and waved like an utter manic. Unsurprisingly I did not get a wave back. S.

Thanks Waltzinblack, some great info there. This might be a daft question, so apologies in advance, but why only do half a bonnet? Cheers! S

A friend of mine can get me 'mates rates' on something similar called VentureShield which I'm considering once I get the bonnet - anyone know how this compares to the Hexis stuff the OP mentioned? S.
