  1. Its a lot of money and work, also if you're gonna use it daily it is a complete nightmare. Yeah, just fired off an email to custom cages so waiting for a reply. I've got a company works transit for a daily driver! And once I've paid off a few debts I'll get something more economical and run this as a track car. Having just a rear cage will be a whole lot easier than a full cage. But pretty useless in a front collision situation...
  2. Thank you! Obviously not taking any credit away from Dave! And why a roll cage? I'm going to be using the car for track purposes. Plus I think it looks pretty awesome. And there's no rear seats so why not!!
  3. Hi, As the title suggests, my 30day free trial has run out on my photoshop so can't use it. And haven't worked out a way round this yet. Any ideas? Anyways, can someone photoshop my wheels into bright orange? Also in a few months ild like a cage, rear or full I'm not too sure yet. So can anyone photoshop this cage into orange please? Many thanks!
  4. Again, just drove home from my mates house, drove past a police car, and nothing. Pretty safe that this will be okay. If I do ever get pulled for it, I'll let you guys know!
  5. Yeah, they were sat in lambs and side streets just waiting for people like usual I guess. And when they done a check they drove past so could easily see it in their rear view.
  6. It doesn't seem to be reflective. But I was driving home from Hatfield forum around 2am last night and police were camped out everywhere. One came behind me and done the usual number plate checks then they drove on past me. So would have easily seen it. So no bother really. I'm sure you could get reflective, but I didn't know it had to be until you lot asked earlier!
  7. What's wrong with the standard engine? Surely it would be more cost effective to drop a v8 in a 350? Iirc there's a guy in America with one...was on YouTube a while back.
  8. Yeah I would have done that, but the previous owner obviously got carried away when screwing it on and cracked it around the screw.
  9. All measured up. Centre of plate was on the side of the 2
  10. Im not sure, guess I'll find out later when it gets dark!
  11. Hi all. Just fitted my vinyl front plate. Looks better than having a massive front number plate bracket on the front. Cost me £5 off eBay. All legit size, spacing etc. and yeah, I know it's not legal, but they'll have to be seriously anal to do anything about it. Would recommend! I'll get a pic up soon!
  12. That's pretty good actually. Personally would have put it vertical to fit in the dash.
  13. Get a full sized plate and attach very strong magnets to it, cover them in a material that won't scratch your bumper though. Also attactch two strong magnets to the back of the bumper, simple on and off when needs be.
  14. Don't buy one from Birmingham/Manchester, check the pistonheads forum, near 100 have been stolen due to copied keys.
  15. I think back to my laps and I think, how did I not hit that? Or that? How did I not end up in that field?!
  16. I'm from Watford and work in Hemel, so I'll keep an eye out! Get some pictures up!
  17. As title says really. Does anyone race their zed? If so, what category do you race in? I'm going to spend the next year transforming my car into a track car and getting track experience. Then if all goes well, ild like to get into actual racing. Just seeing what clubs/classes people run in!
  18. Personally not a fan of the spoiler. Too big. Less is more sometimes.
  19. You took sandpaper to your car and it came out like that?! You must be Jesus. The thought of wet sand going anywhere near my car makes me cry.
  20. Exactly, for the price I paid for the zed, it's at it's lowest depreciation point, might as well have as much enjoyment out of it. I'm just deciding what to buy first really. Going to do donington on 17th aug, so aim to have all breaks done by then. Go out and use the remainder of my tyres as they're coming to the end of their life. Then either buy some rays with decent tyres, or a set of very good tyres for my 17's. Then it's onto a full roll cage I've got my eyes on! Oh so excited

    window tinting

Personally, I think all window tints look poor/tacky and not worth the hassle of worrying about fines/peeling them off. And as rightly said, your vision is reduced, you may not think it, but it is. Just make sure you watch out for motorcycles.
