Yeah I got two, the really big one (about 180lb) that you see next to the boat, and the small-ish one (about 60lb) that jumped into the boat. The one that jumps Really high was quite a big one that leaped about 4/5 times and eventually spat the hook. i was gutted

I just got back from 2 weeks fishing in the Florida keys. I'm not a keen fisherman or anything but I had a chance to go with my dad and his mate for a great price. Got some real big fish / sharks and there were a few funny moments along the way. 2 especially funny parts but I'll let you see them for yourselves. Here's the Video that my dad's friend made, I can't figure out how to directly post the vid on the new forum style so if someone can tell me or something I'll edit the post. Enjoy

I'v had the supersports on for a while now with rays but stock engine. doing both track and road. On the track i can only get a tiny bit of wheelspin in some really tight second gear corners but not much at all really. can usually just mash it at the apex and the car feels over tyred for the power if anything. I can get sideways on the road if i back it in like Chris Harris but i really have to try very hard. i think you will be fine. they are used on the Ferrari F12 and that thing has a V12 and kicks out 730 HP. I sometimes feel like i have over-egged the pudding a bit putting them on my stock 350 but i think you'll love them. Great feedback aswell. Edit: Great noise on the vid by the way and the tyres are great in the wet too

It just gets better and better for alonso doesn't it. Once again extending his lead in the championship. He has shown his class this year bringing home consistant points finishes in a car that should clearly not be up there. Bad luck for lewis this weekend. That track does look like a car breaker though. The title is definately still up for grabs though. There is only so much alonso can do with that ferrari. One of his challengers just needs to be consistantly quick for the next few races. Good result for force india today aswell.

It depends on what you're going to use the car for. I've tried a couple of different things on the Z: I liked Ferrodo pads for spirited road driving. good initial bite but couldn't quite handle the temperatures on a long fast drive and wore down completely after one and a bit track days. I have EBC blue stuff pads with DBA rotors now. Depite some people's worries, the blue stuffs have plenty of initial bite for the road and once up to temperature they are very strong. they don't seem to make anywhere near as much dust as the ferrodos either. They aren't cheap but they seem to be lasting well which offsets the price I guess. I would definitely recommend them if your keeping the stock callipers. Some people recommend Mintex but I have no experience with them. I have had good results with motul 600 brake fluid. on 30 min track runs the pedal stayed very firm.

I was camping in t' duddon valley last weekend and the sky was amazing at night. My mate who studied astronomy pointed this out. We were walking back from the pub at the time so reaction was one of drunken amazement I had never noticed it before but it does look really cool, Especially with a Z in front.

just a little update on this: I got some used mirrors and Lee from the forum was very helpful in helping fit them. Actually he did most of the fitting and i was the skivvy. I called the officer running the case yesterday as i was told i would be updated at the start of september - which hasn't happened. It turns out the scrots came off bail at the start of this month but were then rebailed because the officer on charge was on holiday. A phrase about a p1ss-up in a brewery came to mind. Anyway they will re-answer bail on the 11th of October, which i was assured would be when the case would be closed and i would find out whether i will get any compensation and what punishment they would get. However this is as i go on holiday for 2 weeks which is rather frustrating!!

What is this based on? The pre-contract that Vettel and Ferrari have signed, albeit with performance-based clauses in it which it looks like both will be hitting this year at least. Good race to watch yesterday, shame about Button and the RBs but that Sauber was immense today. Don't know how that one got passed me. But now I read it again it does sound familiar. Maybe that will play a part in the whole perez move situation. Agreed waa a shgame about button and rb. I guess we should start getting used to reliability issues with the upcoming engine regs changes

Was a pretty good race today. However Hamilton just annoys me more and more every time he's out of the car. He's fun to watch in the car but He tries so hard to be a cardboard cut-out when he's in front of the camera. It makes me want to throw up. Drive/Strategy of the day to Perez. His second stint was amazing. He does seem to out perform the car and Kuimi quite often. His style reminds me of JB but more consistent. Horner is just Hillarious when he tries to defend stuard's enquiries. Vettel's move on Alonso might not have been deliberate but it was worthy of a penalty. He left no room at all and in that respect it is not a repeat of Alonso's move last year where over a car's width was given. Its nice to see Massa fighting at the front again but i think it's too little too late. I can't imagine he will be in F1 next year unless he does a Timo Glock and moves to a crappy team. Given Perez's performance this season, His ties to Ferarri and Peter Sauber's reaction when asked about it today, I would be suprised if Perez doesn't go to Ferrrari next season. It just depends on whether he wants to play second fiddle to Alonso. I can't imagine any up and coming driver would want to go to a team that is so centralized around one driver. What is this based on?

Glad u had fun. I really want to go on track again soon. don't have any more days off though and i'm in flrorida for over 2 weeks in oct so may miss it anyway. Have you been on any apart from this one since i saw u there all those months ago?

You Must have some serious prejudices to think this. I'm not Hamilton's biggest fan, and I have enjoyed the Raw pace of Grosjean so far in the season but that was the most idiotic and blatantly reckless move I have seen all season. He just sling-shotted diagonally across the track straight into Lewis almost killing Alonso in the process. How can you possibly think this is not worthy of a serious punishment? As i said above, and have mentioned before in this thread, i think grosjean has got awesome pace and seems like is quite a fun personallity but he needs to get those blinkers off before he seriously injures himself or someone else. Maldanado has no redeeming features. He is just a **** with money behind him. I'm counting the days until he is replaced.

Yeah, as Brundel put it, "they should start aero testing rudders." A girl i met last weekend is now asking if i want to meet up on Sunday afternoon. Maybe I can edge it out for a late lunch or dinner. Just had a first propper look at the Lotus High speed drag reduction thingy. Looks really clever but I bet it makes the initial brake bite a bit scary!!

AAAAAARRR!!!! Can't wait. Have beeen waiting for Spa so much since i went to the 6Hrs of spa earlier in the year!!!

VX220s are definately a serious contender. I know a lad who has one too so i can get him to show me around it and take me for a blast As much as i would love something with a V8, Im trying to go for something a bit smaller and focussed so it is quick and fun, but not too expensive to maintain. plus i think i would become Camskill's best customer if i got a Monaro (I have looked into it before ) . I'm bad enough in the 350Z.

quote="Advert"]Stunning car. Professionally Turbocharged in November 2006 by 'mx5mad' including upgraded ECU, Injectors, Intercooler, Radiator, clutch and exhaust system at a cost of £6640. I wish HR Z FI kits were that cheap! i loved the MR2 roadster for this reason too. £2.5k That MX5 has some nice upgrades on it. Again some really good suggestions. After looking a lot more over the past few days its amazing what you can get for your money at the moment. Just got back from taking my mate to the station in the Zed. Peeing it down but still had a fun drive back. I often forget how nice the 350z is when driving at 70-80%. Made me second guess how much refinement i am willing to give up I think I will probably end up going down the small 2 seater road rather than a caterfield. as much as I'd love one, its nice to be able to enjoy a car even when the weathers not so great. Especially when i live in the lakes where it rains all the time. I'm in no rush to sell though and there are so many cars that i want to look into

Woooowww!!!!!! That's the sort of thing i was hoping to get in this thread Might have to look into it a bit more. However TVRs do have a repution for killing people and/or bankrupting them through parts and labour cost. Still definately worth a second look though.

Good suggestions there Not so sure i like the idea of a corsa though. RWD would be a preference. Having an interior would be a plus too. I do like the sound of a caterfield, elise or VX220 though.

As the title says, What do you think the funnest / fastest car is for under 10K? I'm not looking to get rid of the Zed for a while yet but its nice to see what's available and I'm just wondering what is on the market at the moment. When i got the 350Z it suited my needs perfectly, but now that I have a work van I don't use my car for commuting. So every day practicality is not so much of an issue. Priorities are: 1. Driving dynamics / enjoyment when driving at 10/10ths 2. running costs (not including fuel) 3. Engine performance 5. looks 4. Practicality These days a decent E46 M3 coupe will fall into this price bracket and looks to be the most attractive proposition. There are also some earlier Porche Boxters but the cost of upkeep on them may be a lot. Anything big or small will be considered but it must be a proper driver's car. Suggest away:
