These aren't mine but I spotted these lovely polished split-rims on eBay. The tyres look like they might be an odd profile but otherwise look amazing. 350z alloy wheels

+1 on Plusnet. Used them for years. They are part of BT but have their own UK call centres so you don't have to fight to find someone in the right department who understands what you need. Pretty cheap too, especially compared to BT, I think their TV offering is a little weak compared to BT themselves though if that's important to you. Also might be worth looking at Sky, I've noticed that their predicted broadband speed is a little faster for ADSL2+ in some areas so might be good if fibre isn't an option.

Lovely wheels. I'm not a great fan of black wheels but they look matt or satin black at the moment which I think looks better than the usual gloss. If they were mine I'd be contemplating either shadow chrome, gunmetal or azure centres with a polished or silver lip.

I know you wanted to use your existing tyres but you could just get a second hand set of wheels and tyres for the same price as new wheels, and then sell your current wheels and tyres to cover some of the costs? Buster's have a nice dish: hiro drift wheels for sale...price reduced to £750

I've noticed that some tyres are louder than others, I have wider 35 profile Falken FK452 which are noisier than anything else I've tried. I think tyres like the FK452 which have a directional pattern tend to be louder though which I'm guessing is why they've fallen out of favour since the tyre labelling changed. I'm not sure tyre noise would put me off buying any car I really wanted but if it's a concern for you then you could always buy some OEM 17" wheels (like these: NISSAN 350Z STAGGERED 17" ALLOY WHEELS DRIFT SKYLINE) and fit them with a quieter, less grippy 50 profile tyre like the Michelin Primacy 3.

Most people on here stick with the OEM Rays or go for wider or larger diameter wheels than standard, so narrow aftermarket ones are rarely seen or discussed. I would suggest you contact some of the forum traders as they may be able to get some in for you or alternatively try eBay as they often have narrow wheels for a variety of cars, like these for instance: 18" Infiniti G35 Mk1 Sedan 02 to 06 ZCW Shift Alloy Wheels Only 8B7C1E Fitted with 15-35mm spacers they would most likely fit over your Brembos but it would be worth asking the seller.

If I had a 370Z I'd be all over these but sadly I don't. Nissan Gtr R35 Wheels I believe they're made by Rays and are really light too. Here's a Photoshop I found:

I think most people go for 245/35 and 275/35 probably because both front and rear are then slightly smaller than OEM 18" and therefore keep the ratio of front to rear closer to OEM. Technically 255/35 would be slightly closer to OEM although larger. I believe 245/35 with 275/35 is also what the optional Nismo LM GT4 alloys were fitted with. As long as you stick with 35 profile I expect you'll be fine with 245 or 255 on the front with 275 or 285 on the rear.

I've used Protector C (www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00VK1OC7A) on external parts of the house and garden to thin the herd when the spiders get too numerous. It works quite well, especially if you spray it directly onto them.

Don't forget you'll need some flat seat nuts as well if you're putting them on a 350Z.

They look great - but then I would say that. Lowering will definitely improve looks even further though. I think they really suit your car and the mods you've already made.

Interesting, so it's just the radial grooves with wear indicators that count. Makes sense but I wasn't aware of that, hopefully the police are! So the disappearing inner radial on the RE050A doesn't matter then because it doesn't have wear indicators?

All the lateral grooves on both shoulders are shallow but the shallowest ones I've noticed are the inner (left) most radial groove and also the inner most half inch of the lateral grooves on the outer (right) shoulder. Once those have disappeared completely the tread depth on the wider deeper radial grooves near the middle still measure okay. To me it just seems to make determining what's legal more confusing than it needs to be.

I've noticed that the RE050A have shallower grooves on the edges, on my worn tyres it's very noticeable. I've always thought it odd because I believe legal tread depth is measured across the centre three quarters and these shallower grooves are potentially within that. Whether you choose to change your tyres at 1.6, 2 or 3mm your edges are always 1mm less. I've never noticed this with other tyres and I do wonder if it's a scam to get people to buy new tyres sooner.

It's Friday so it must be time for another photo! Think I'll go for another of morgs' as they look great with the Azure and this is exactly how they fill the arches without the need for spacers.
