    What a nice story and all the best with your Zed My grandfather also inspired my love of cars but he never had anything as exotic as yours.

    I had this problem and Abbey cut out the bad bits and welded in a tube over both bits to joint them together. It looked like it would last for ages. As it happens I subsequently bought a Milltek system but I think welding is a good solution for someone on a very tight budget.

    There would be nothing to lose by having a look but I would be wanting to go into it pretty carefully (not much ebay history to go on and limited narrative in the ad).

    There are plenty about. Having said that I bought a non-GT because of its condition and mileage (and I wasn't bothered about the GT stuff and I actually prefer cloth seats)... however quite a few people seem to prefer the higher spec.
