DOH! Newbie posted the photo's in the wrong place!

Yeah, I second that Daz... Thanks VERY much to Colin for organising it all... Wish we could have done more than just the morning, but very glad we made the time to at least attend that! .... thanks/sorry to Daz for me missing the very FIRST turn and us having to play catchup for 10 miles. In relation to photo's.... what is the forum etiquette on posting them with members licence plates on? Is that cool? Or do I have to blur everyone's out?

Yeah, I understand that So, for now, I just want a little help choosing my new tires for the rear.... Here is my info as best as I can gather it! So, to make the best of a bad situation.... What size tire SHOULD I put on the back to replace the Avons? I was going to put Vredestien Ultrac-Sessanta's on the rear, to match the front.

That is going to be one of my next questions.... I couldn't understand how my alloys are ALL 19x8.0... but the front tires are 225 40 19 but the back tires are 255 35 19 The width of the tires is 30 different! So they still fit, but the rear may "buldge" and front may "stretch"? REALLY not happy with the setup of these damn alloys!

Cool... but the SPACER doesn't effect the tire at all.... So I am still aiming for the same thing (as I am keeping the alloys I have, for now)

OK, so I walk into a show room in 2003 to buy a GT. Can anyone tell me the size of the alloys and the tires that are on those alloys please? My research says they are 18x8.5 + 225-45-18 on the front and 18x9.5 + 245-45-18 on the rear. But I wanted to be sure and get confirmation on this.

I think it was £799 for a set of four including tyres, according to the website. No idea. They were on when I bought her two weeks ago. Just want to make her safer ASAP for the winter. Then I will buy better in the spring

Yup, you are spot on my good man. I NEED new alloys. But I will have to fork out for new ones first, then sell the other ones. Don't have the cash to front that at the moment. The current alloys have spacers on, so they "look" right. Just wanted to know what the standard rolling wheel radio us os for front and back, so I can match it. Even if the widths are wrong for the time being.

Not enough cash for that at the mo, can I not just put some decent tires on the back for now? What size wheel and tire SHOULD there be?

Yeah... tricky to do when the owner BEFORE the previous owner put them on. I just want to know the best way to be safe with what I have got. Suggestions peeps?

Pinching the thread... but only slightly I have a noise that comes from behind me ... all the time. Sounds like a stereo is on, with no "sound" just a slight quiet electrical hiss. Anyone?
