  1. Yeah... the Honda Super-charged version...
  2. Friend of mine has one.... Says the thing has to ALWAYS be FULL of fuel.... as the tank is over the nose... And if it is not full, the nose lifts off the lights!
  3. The roads in Europe are so much better due to the whole "fine" thing they have going... i.e. if you dig the road up... and don't put it back to 100% smooth standard, then the council goes, digs it back up again, makes it perfectly smooth, then bills the company a @*!# load for fixing their shoddy workmenship . If they don't pay, they never get the licence to dig up the roads in the area again! THAT is how we should do it! Driving through the A/B roads in France, all the roads are black... with loads of blue, green and red tarmac patches... but they are ALL perfectly smooth...
  4. errr... 99% sure that the car is all one colour You guys should be able to have a look for yourself on the 18th
  5. My "pop charger" cone is FILTHY... Not only ruining the look of the engine bay but also probably ruining my boost I get from it. Possibly even choking her! I THINK it is cotton... so, am I better off replacing it? Or can I clean it?
  6. Did another "mod" today.... My boot takes two attempts to open, SO.... Went out and bought some 13mm round foam pads, which are about 2-3mm thick. Stuck one of these on each of the rubber boot supports on the bottom/inside of my boot... and Voilà ! The boot now opens in one click.... classic!
  7. Was pretty worried my headlight washers were not working.... Turns out, all you have to do to fix that is make sure you have enough washer fluid! So I filled up and they work perfectly now
  8. Next on the list was my number plates I like the look of the square on the front, so I stuck with it and nipped up to my local DVLA office and transferred my private plate onto her...
  9. The eagle eyed (well, to be fair it is OBVIOUS) peeps amongst you may have noticed the missing badge... Got one in the post, should be here soon.. The REAL eagle eyed peeps will have noticed my first mod.... Before I shipped my old SEAT Leon to WBAC.com I whipped the S2000 "stubby" off it and wopped it onto the new car. Save a couple of quid!
  10. ANYWAY... Also spotted the wheels, although they look good, they are the "wrong size. Basically, they are too thin, as the offset it wrong. Need to sort out some better rear tires to make up for it... (As I am tail happy at the moment with these pants tires on, even WITH ECS ON!) She was pretty filthy ... (As Joh pointed out) so a few days later (after driving her a little) I took her to my folks and got my old man to help me clean her up. He (thinks he) is good at cleaning them up... didn't do a bad job, took us 5 hours mind!
  11. And I thought this thread would be a CLEAN bit for me to put all my "mods" in ... Nope... all UK spec, I just like a square front plate... OK?
  12. Thought I would start a thread, especially for ME Putting down all the alterations and findings I have on and about my 350Z. Never know, someone might read it someday and learn something from it! So, when I first saw the car, it was on Autotrader. Looking like this.... 350Z, GT, Gun Metal Grey, 66k, CAI (Pop Charger), 19" alloy wheels. Note the Exhaust (Which was a K1) and the lovely allow wheels. When I went to see the car, I didn't notice the exhaust was back to standard. But driving it so far (and hearing out other K1's) I am happy he put it back to normal! Managed to get this baby for £8300 (08/2010) More info to come...
  13. http://www.topgear.com/uk/car-news/370z ... 2010-09-08 Enjoy! Think it was the 370Z's fault?
  14. Just realised this is a weekend AFTER I thought it was. So I am more likely to be able to attend, seeing as it is only an hour away for me. As I don't need food/accommodation, do I need to commit to anything? Or can I just turn up if I can?
  15. Drifting... what a good idea... never thought of that... honest
  16. Would be good to sell them Josh... but I don;t have the cash to buy new/seconds hand ones at the moment AND put good rubber on. I am sure that if I put £400's worth of tires on the back wheels they will be fine till next year when I will be able to afford something. Plus, I will then I will be able to keep these ones as well and use them for winter and/or track days
  17. Better than nothing I suppose. But still pretty that the car has pants alloys on it. You could argue they look good... (Not exactly my taste, the colour looks good, but they are a little "bling" for me) But they are too damn thin!
  18. Yeah... Great thing for me to "sort" ... by spending a load of money Don't have the cash for new alloys at the mo. But I presume the best/cheapest/safest thing to do in the sort term is to stick some vredestein ultrac sessanta that FIT on the back wheels. That was I can save up and buy some wheels and tyres that FIT soon. but still be safe(ish) ... yeah?
  19. There should be RULES on Muppets buying alloys that DON'T FIT cars. I mean yeah, these wheels do "fit" .... but not really! gggrrr....
  20. I think I may be best off starting all this again when I know the info But, on a separate yet related note, the fact that I have to have the spacers, and are STILL not sticking out from the arches, kind of suggests the wheels are not wide enough for the car......? its the offset that dictates how much they stick out combined with width, an offset of 40 with a width of 8" is shart Exactly... so if I have a spacer (to compensate for the offset) AND they STILL don't fill the arches... Then they are a VERY "thin" wheel, in comparison to the original ones... yeah?
  21. I think I may be best off starting all this again when I know the info But, on a separate yet related note, the fact that I have to have the spacers, and are STILL not sticking out from the arches, kind of suggests the wheels are not wide enough for the car......?
  22. Not sure Bud.... Other than asking the previous owner, how can I find out? (No info in the bumpf I got with the car)
  23. No offense taken bud. I didn't buy/put on the wheels, so I can't be held responsible for them. But I appreciate the analogy
  24. Yes, that makes sense.... BUT you have to think abotu the difference of weight of the alloys i.e. a 2-pound weight on teh end of a 1-foot stick will be as easy to lift as a 10-pound weight... but, I DO see your point.... and I also see my argument is floored as new alloys are not 80% lighter than the originals!
  25. I totally agree with regards to the offset... People get it wrong and either it looks awful... or it fails an MOT... Or both! Don't quiet agree on the bolt argument though, if you replace the bots as well, for the right length, then you can use spacers all day long. Or am I wrong there too?
