  1. Was thinking of changeing mine as well, been lazy and not looked at the set up yet, is itan easy replacement or do you need fingers like knitting needles and have to remove half the engine?

  2. Tunnel bridge/valley is a nice area but it's getting snow this weekend!! Single track roads up there are scary even when driving the van as I like to go fishing and campin up there.

    Enjoy urselfs

Haha, yup I know what you mean, last winter my Rex sat in the drive for 6 weeks over Crimbo  Rear wheel drive and snow are not a good mix :scare:

Hope Stirling Services has a Costa's, we all might be sitting there watching the weather

No fears though, I've put the weather chit in early to save dissapointment ;)

  3. As I missed the last one, which looked more like a Grand Tour, than a Mini Hoon :p , I feel the need to set one up myself :) Hopefully no rules broken yet by my boldness

While on a wee business trip oop north a few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of traveling back from Aviemore to the Clyde Coast (spotted Jay on the A817 B) ) and took a rather interesting route. As it was a gorgeous day and my colleagues and I (who were not familiar with Scotlands finest scenery) had plenty of time to reach our final destination, I decided to cut right off the A9 at Ballinluig heading for Killin, along Loch Tay, on to Crainlarich, Arrocher then the backroad to Garelochhead.

Anyways, we were in a rather gutless Insignia estate (apparantly an SRI :scare: ) and I thought what a fantastic road to take me Zed :D Now I propose a slightly different route and to complicate things, do it sort of in reverse B)

Route to be finalised but thinking along the lines of, meet up Stirling services, jct 10 M9 head for Aberfoyle, north to Killin, along Loch Tay to Kenmore (pay homage to the tree at Fortingall, weather permitting B846 to Tummel Bridge, pick up the B847 to Calvine (one for the shoppers here, stop off at House of Bruar), B8079 to Pitlochry, re-join A9 for a bit to A827 hang a right at Ballinluig, to Aberfeldy, down to Crieff and keep heading south to Dunblane, phew!!

If it's all old hat or there are any other good pointers on the proposed route, please feel free to suggest. I have, in the past, organised a fair number of meets for The Scottish crew of the RX8 OC, so not really a novice, but I drive like one , did similar to the Applecross meet you had, back in 2007, 15 RX8's and the Highland Games to boot!! We even won the Tug O War B)

As always I'm going to do it anyway, good day out etc, so if you're interested and can join up enroute then please add your nom de plume (sp?) :D

  7. G Man love the pic of the Tres Rex's (Still miss mine  !)

That was taken on the Bull Run course, only spent a night there and to be honest, I wouldn't bother going back, nice enough place but a bit touristy.

Miss my Rex, too many good times touring Europe/24hr Le Mans and track days, the 370 has a lot to live up to :D

Wish I had digital photo's of my first "proper" sports car, Opel Manta GTE B)
