Re focusing on the car ! You,re gonna spend a LOT of time polishing that car... the colour is an absolute pig if there is a spec of dust on it ! Mine was washed and waxed AT LEAST once a week sometimes twice. I swear there was more wax than metal when i sold it. You could have melted it down and bottled it as honey ! Best time to take photos.. just as the sun is going down.. shows all the aluminium bits off well. I,ve got some good pics of my blue one but haven,t worked out how to post them yet. If you manage to get to the Lakes meet i will bring the I Pad to show you them. You might also get excited about this new exhaust !!! roger

For anyone interested, i had my wheels refurbed at a new startup company in Darlington, County Durham. Company called WHEEL TECH... TEL 01325 286096.... Cost for four rays ( tyres on ) £ 210. Car went in at 12 noon Monday and i collected 10 a.m. Tuesday... locked in the modern workshop overnight and they are insured ! Very profesional young couple. Regards MRT

Good news maybe ! I had exactly the same problem with my 07 Zed. There is a spring at the bottom of the clutch pedal which became slightly twisted on mine. Approx two thirds down the thing clunked but didn,t clunk on the way back up. Nissan replaced the pedal assembly on mine under warranty but they could have just replaced the spring which had become bent. Hope that,s the problem. regards Roger

Hanna. Love the car... i sold mine .. same spec last year..... worst decison i ever made but never mind i,ve got a soft top one now. Have you viewed the youtube video made by 5th gear on a midnight blue one ? Best video i,ve seen and confirms you,ve made the right choice... I too live in a small village and completed my exhaust set up yesterday... reckon i,m gonna have to move as i too leave home at 5 am each day !!! sounds like a Lambo going through the village ! Completed my exhaust set up yesterday . Now with full system the sound is perfect for me. Fitted at Tyre Spot Darlington... very professional and cannot recomend them high enough. Also had Falkens supplied and fitted a month ago £ 520 all in. They do the rear wheel alignment as well. John the manager indicated that he would be willing to discuss member discounts ... so maybe one of you moderators can contact him. mrt

My experience ? Owned two coupes both DE and HR and recently a convertible. Both coupes brilliant,faster,better looking,( if not over modded )and next to most others ( Porsche,TT,Mazda etc ) a no brainer ! But .... on a summers day with the sun beating down and a hard tin hat above you... can be claustrophobic especially in slow traffic. The convertible? an absolute joy with the top down on both warm days and the noise ...ooooh especially with my Cobra system and Berks. Rainy days ? go buy a cheap golf as a second car. The rag top is a pain when you open the window and all the water drips in from the roof. When cleaning you,ve only got half the car to polish !! Just fitted the cobra resonated. Great sound. A lot louder at 3k rpm upwards. Cabin drone 2500 tp 3k but you get used to it. No problems fitting. Y pipe and Berks HFCS ,s going on next week. Good luck Rog.... Mrt

Your gonna love that car ! Best photograph early evening before the sun drops. Really shows off the blue and highlites the silver handles etc. Did you get the white/grey seats? They set it off perfectly. After this blade silver ragtop i,m back to blue ! enjoy

I sold my midnight blue 07 plate last year... Best with frost grey seats. Best looking car i ever had...wish i had never sold it. Would buy it back if it ever comes up. Needs a polish every week or if you,re not up to it buy silver. P.m. me and i will gladly send some pics after detailing. rog

Neo. Perhaps you will let me know when you fit the soundproofing and what results you achieve. Until then i,m only gonna drive with the roof down ! and a hearing aid switched full on ! Never done any mods before but i,ve got " Zed fever " now so onwards and upwards. Need to spend my savings before my sons get their hands on them ! Gotta change my taste in music too.... Sinatra doesn,t sound the same in a Zed ! My Passat coupe is for everyday and 56 mpg. Zed is for driving over the Dales at weekends. regards rog...mrt

Thanks for the responses guys. Cougar warns of drone on the system without the mid box which is why i chose the mid on. Not to worry though cause i won,t be doing too much low rev driving this year ! I,m also aware that the volume might well increase with the HFC,s fitted..... but it,s taking years off me ! Think my problems with the bolts on show might be fixable with a little adjustment.
