Hi Mark , I,ve been posting about a problem I have with my newly acquired 07 zed. Basically the car drove perfect the first 400 miles then started to feel strange when decelerating and within first to third at low revs ( 2 to 3 k ) It accelerates very rapidly but when decelarating in gear it feels lumpy and the ride is horrible. I,ve changed the plugs , cleaned the entrance to the throttle, cleaned the maf sensors and replaced the air filters. Local garage suspects flywheel is the problem. I read under a reply to another member that you cured the problem with an uprev.. Wonder if you could throw any light because I don,t want to waste money and find that the flywheel is not the cause. I live in North Yorkshire, if closer I would be knocking at your door right now. Regards mrt

Hi.I ve got exactly the same problem on my 07 zed. 22k miles... changed the plugs, cleaned throttles.cleaned maf sensors,changed spark plugs... no improvement .. now looking at worn fly wheel... got no slippage or judder, just drives awfull at low revs... kerky and overeager when I accelerate hard. let me knw if you find a solution.

Well I thought it was all solved but its still there ! Took it into a local independent with past experience at Nissan. He cleaned the throttle body. re cleaned the mafs and put it on his diagnostic machine... result .. no faults. Now he says that the dual mass flywheel could be the cause so he,s pricing me up for clutch and single flywheel. After reading guides on here , it appears that I may be faced with a similar lumpy feel but with sharper response on acceleration. This is my fifth zed and its the first one causing me grief ..

Good news. Replaced the filters and gave the sensors a clean. Problem solved ! Thanks for the advice everyon

Cheers everyone. Gonna try the cleaning route myself. The coil packs were all replaced correctly. Will let you know if the cleaning works

Hi. I,ve got the same problem. Changed plugs,air filters, Been advised to clean the MAF sensors. Did you sort yours out ? Regards

Looked up MAF and that definitely sounds like it could be the cause. Now need to find a decent guide.

Hi guys. Just checked for stored codes .... Non stored. Checked filters...bit of dust and a few dead leaves on the bottom of the unit.Now removed.....can,t see how one might have passed up into the manifold. So, stumped so far. Need to find out what a MAF is now !

Wash and wax every week same as I do on my night blue. I used clay bar,paint renovator,paint polish, wax, then high gloss wax. This every six months. Night blue is the best colour In my opinion and the worst for showing swirls,dinks,and dirt Good luck. P.s. Just had my white drivers seat refurbished. Came up like new,perfect colour match. Two days ago I noticed a slightly different feel and can only describe the drive as "lumpy " The tick over has an occasional slight pause and when coasting in gear It feels like an irregular shot of fuel coming in. On acceleration it's smooth and feels over responsive like it's raring to go. No problems at high revs in any gear. I changed the plugs today as they weren,t replaced at the five year mark and it feels slightly better but I know the gremlin is still there lurking. Sorry all Been away for a few days. Car is an 05 GT upgrade spec so Rays ,Bose etc. I don,t tell porkies about the rpm... i,m an old chap and i get my pleasures from cruising not belting around at high revs. The Berks and Cobra are on to improve the sound and not performance as anyone knows it would need a plenum spacer and then down to Leeds for the tuning. All of my cars both present and past are in mint condition and i did a lot of homework before i bought this one.Indeed the factory fitted tyres were still on the car when i bought it at 14 k miles. Probably keep the car now as one of the others ( Black Passat cc 10 plate ) has just gone. Wasso has seen the car and i,m sure he will testify as to it,s condition at last years Lakez. Mot passed without any advisories... the tester said it looked like it had just come off the production line ! Thanks for the comments guys mrt

My silver 350z for sale just 22000 miles. Carefully detailed every week. New Falken tryes all round, New Cobra exhaust , HKS air filter, Berks high flow cats. 20 and 25 mill spacers.Only used as an occasional drive and never over 4000 rpm. Owned for 14 months. Car is taxed and being Mot,d tomorrow . Had it,s p3 service 5000 miles ago so due the p1 in 1 k Please p.m. me for photos and further history. Very clean car ... one of those rare ones ! This has been my third Zed. As it,s so good i,m asking £ 10k and it,s worth every penny and i,m not open to offers. Many thanks mrt

For four wheel alignment try Tyrespot in Darlington. ( manager John ) . excellent service and total cost about £ 70 . Had mine done when fitting new tyres last year and they were well out at the rear.

Hi Just sold my black 59 plate Passat cc.diesel. 70k miles... immaculate... still handled and looked new. 9k part ex for a 2 year old diesel jag xf.23k Passat looks great, 56 to the gallon.£ 150 tax. Great accelaration, brakes still excellent after 70k miles. no repairs needed ( at all ) Lots of admiring comments from other motorists and general public. Only sold it for more comfort and cruise control.

Any advice please. M.I. Light came on after refueling. tried disconnecting negative terminal for ten minutes to reset but light stays on. Had to put a small amount of 95 ronin last week ( first time ever honestly ) due to my local garage out of Millenium, Topped her right up with 98 ron on Sunday and ten minutes later the light came on ! Just been in for some technical advice at my local Nissan dealership and saw a very smart Anthracite Roadster. New shape ( bulge in the bonnet ) full gt spec with 19k miles . Going for £ 10500. Sounds cheap to me. Salesman says he,s had a lot of interest this far ! Looks a very tasty car for anyone out there looking for one. If i hadn,t allready got one , i would have definately been very keen.

Hi everyone. Any advice please as i,ve just tried lowering the roof on my 05 Roadster Zed and it won,t fully retract ! Works fine until the last six inches then sticks and bounces back slighltly as though something was in the space reserved for the hood. Had a look when i had half retracted it and there is no obvious obstacle. The car only has 19000 miles on the clock and is as good as new all round.Is this a common problem ? Roger mrt

Got the full system and cats in my garage. comes from my 05 roadster which has only done 19km. miles.Replaced above with the cobra and hks cats. great sound.84 db at 4000 rpm pm me if interested. North Yorkshire.

Probably not worth the hassle and i would definately go for the Cobra on any new 350.Will wait to see if anyone else comments first before deciding.Thanks for the response.
