  1. RenTech has posted these very helpful instructions before: http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=38056 Cheers, Geo
  2. It's the thought that counts Tim. I'll just have to spend some quality time in my zed :o) Cheers, Geo
  3. Glad to hear this. I've 452s on my zed & use it daily (only car). Looks like I have a chance of surviving the winter. Cheers, Geo
  4. I'm still on for this. The wait has been unbearable. My kids are looking forward to Christmas, I'm looking forward to this even more. Cheers, Geo
  5. It was a full on shot (having cranked the w@nkin' handle) at Geo he is obviously a little unsure of the basic theory behind the encabulator having had to Google it ............and is therefore not suitable to join the discussion until he has attended the introductory course Dude, Don't ban me until after Meguiars detailing seminar. After that I promise to enrole in the required introductory courses. Cheers, Geo Â
  6. This might help in understanding these gizmos: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turboencabulate Cheers, Geo
  7. D'oh. Same here just filled up then read this. Good excuse to that the even longer route to & from work Cheers, Geo
  8. My kids named mine "The BIG Zee". Not that original but they're 2 & 6 years old. Anyway my zed is definitely a she. I wouldn't feel right riding a he! Cheers, Geo
  9. My order arrived today The lance looks and feels like a well made piece of kit, but the bottle feels rather light weight in comparison. 10L of snow foam might last me a while!!! Cheers, Geo
  10. Just placed my order. Tim got back to me & confirmed my order @ 19:30 ish. Not just a 9 to 5 guy. Very friendly & helpful on the phone too. Can't wait to see how this performs. Cheers, Geo
  11. You & I are very alike. Apart from the talking to your car thing . . . That's just wierd! It's just me then Cheers, Geo
  12. I'm lucky enough you be able to use my zed everyday. Each morning when I walk to my car I smile. Start her up, then smile some more. Walking out of work, seeing the zed sat there (one of the cleanest cars in the car park) puts another smile on my face. Then the drive home is a great wind down with get more smiling. Get home looking like a grinning muppet. Can't see me ever getting tired of this. Has anyone else found themselves talking to their zed? I've started to hello to my one when I walk up to her. Cheers, Geo
  13. Hi Colin, The car is under 3 years old. I'll contact the supplying dealer to see where I stand. When buying the zed she looked so shiny & nice compared to the golf I was part exchanging. I did miss a few points on the car that I've since come to notice. The Meguiars metal polish has only been used on the exhausts & they've come up really nice. Thanks for the advice. Cheers, Geo
  14. Hi Colin, The alloys were like this when I bought the zed. As I've started to get the hang of cleaning her, smaller & smaller defects start to annoy me. In my cleaning collection I've used Meguiars Hot Rim All Wheel Cleaner with a Meguiars ultra save wheel brush. Whilst the alloys come up nice & clean there are a few patches that need more attention. I guess the damage has already been done. The warranty book says genuin Nissan parts have a 2 year warranty. So if the LMGT4 alloys came as factory fit then I think I might have missed the warranty window. Cheers, Geo
  15. Hand a chat with a guy from The Wheel Specialist Apparently lacquers are a flawed solution as they will get chipped then dirt & water will get in. Thus cleaning the alloys & reapplying the lacquer will only result in me ending up back where I started. The other options are: 1. Remove old lacquer & polish then apply a sealant/wax regularly. 2. Powder coat the alloys. Option 1 is the cheapest but would require more maintenance. Option 2 is more costly but would be a more durable solution. What do you guys think? If the powder coat routed what colour would you choose. My Zed currently look like this: When I bought her I did think the alloys might be a be too blink so maybe a darker grey? Cheers, Geo

  17. Rim Wax is good Those rims are proper shiny Cheers, Geo
  18. My alloys cames in this state when I bought the car. Might go for a refurb then look after them. Any advice on wheel sealants? I don't recall anything in the Meguiars range but have never looked for this kind of product. Cheers, Geo
  19. Hi all, My alloys have these marks on them: I've tried Hyperwash, APC, Hot Rims All Wheel Cleaner & Clay Bar but nothing really helps. I can reduce the dark areas slightly but the patterning remains. Any idea what has cause this? How can I clean it up? And is it possible to prevent this from happening again? Cheers, Geo

  21. Thank heavens for this thread. Cleaned my zed over the weekend, and my daughter wanted to sit in the drivers seat. She pressed every button & switch. On the way home from work on Monday the passenger window didn't work. I was thinking warranty claim until I read this thread. Cheers, Geo
  22. I've been away for 3 weeks. Cames back to the zed and smiled instantly. And that's before starting her up! I can't see this wearing off. Cheers, Geo
  23. I got conformation from a Nissan HPC that this was normal before purchasing my zed. Cheers, Geo
  24. I'm using an iPhone 3GS. As said above you have to store the numbers again in the Bluetooth system as it can't access the numbers stores in the phone. Cheers, Geo
