Thanks guys as per normal you lot are bloody brilliant, I had feeling the car needed to be hot. For those that mentioned it I am down in the SW, Exeter so running it up to Mark at Abbey is not really on. Ordered some of the stuff you guys linked me to so going to try that and blast it down to Plymouth and Get The Engine Tuner to give it an MOT. I needed a person to fit some new belts anyway. Think this will be cheaper than changing the cat and finding a pipe fabricator to make it fit. Once again thanks guys I will keep you posted as to how I get on, so other`s can avoid the trap I fell into.

I guess this has been asked a 100 times already, but a bit gutted today as my pride and joy has just failed its first MOT under my ownership. It failed on emissions, fast idle CO2 0.63% 2 fast idle 0.46%,idle 0.43% tester says it’s the high flow cat failing. It’s a 54 plate Abbey tuned 350GT with 31K miles. I think the exhaust system is a fabricated one it’s been de-cat at some point with a central high flow sports cat fitted. All other readings passed fine. Do I change cat and if so who and what as not got a clue what to get ? Do I put it through a Terraclean and see if this cleans the cat back up, although this will cost £100.00 alone with no guarantee it will work. Really do not want to change the whole system. HELP !!

Anyone got any or a clue were to get some would prefer smoked black if possible ? Thanks

Hi all looking to purchase a set of light weight alloy pulleys and replacement belts, I see Alex has some belts but wanted to get the whole lot together. If I could get them in a red finish that would be great if not chrome or silver. Does the diff poly bush kit really make that much difference? How much would it cost to have a garage fit them roughly or put another way how many hours ?

I have a 2005 GT with the adaptor tingy in the centre box will it work with my iphone 5 ? if so I will take it.

Yes I know it goes under the car !!! However was wondering best place to locate a bottle jack to lift the car without damaging something?

So if I go for it I can factor in another £3K for the stuff mentioned above plus fitting ? Not certain I fancy treking all the way to Newcastle though.

Hi Mark et-all, Yes you are correct it’s the car that you guys rebuilt the engine on from the crank up. It’s now living down in the West Country down in Devon so bringing it up to you guys would be a hike. Took the car to Alan Jeffries “The engine Tuner†down in Plymouth. He was full of praise for the car although a Subaru man really, he just commented that it appeared to running a bit rich. Personally I find its fine, so think I will leave it alone no warning lights etc. Would love to talk to you guys about supercharging just not certain I can justify the £6-7 K price tag or am I coming up sort even on those numbers ? Thanks for replies guys.

Heavily modified 350 GT (Abbey) been told car is running rich, certainly exhaust would back this up as like others I clean it and with minutes it’s black again. Could this be the MAF if so can they be cleaned adjusted or should I just get a new one and get it fitted, Zamalex maybe?
