Hi Mate if it helps I have had both cars coming from a WRX wagon to an WRX STI with mods and then a 350Z JDM with mods, zurst and alloys. I can honestly say they both are great cars, although to compare them is not really fair. One is a road going rally car with a turbo. The other is a civilised proper sports car with rear wheel drive. If I was to give you a clue I am now looking to get back into a Z, Scooby is way to much a Rodney car these days, sorry guys but too many dick heads driving them now. I certainly would not swap for a WRX unless you need the space!

The reason I ask is that I have seen one on Pistonheads being advertised as a Turbo and like u guys did not think Nissan ever made a production version, so was wondering if it was or was not. Turns out it’s a Fairlady and the guy says its states Turbo on the V5 so that’s what he is calling it bit misleading if you ask me. And yes I am in the market for a Z would prefer azure blue if poss budget is around 9 K

Does a JDM version with a Turbo exsist or is this a UK mod only ?

Right or wrong decided that I couldn’t go any longer without a weekend toy. Trouble is I have found two that I like and before any wise ass say by both. One is chilli red a 2004 import with 31K miles. The other a GT spec UK azure blue with 48 and FSH Both about the same money just cannot decide. Before anyone asks I have stepped out of a Subaru WRX STi deciding that looks and style over performance would suit me more at the tender age of 54!!!!

Beware all I see this car is for sale again now although its up in the North East.

Just got to the bottom of the story on the car, its has been written off, however in Northern Ireland. It then came to England so its a UK car. The info I wish to share is that any cars history stays in Ireland and the agencies in both Ireland and the England do not talk to each other. Needless to say I will not be buying.

So the concensus is walk away fast ? Have added an interior shot as asked, however the link to the add,shows the same. Personnaly gutted as loved the car.

Do you think its an UK car or an import

Anyone have any thoughts on this car going to buy it, HPI check shows a cat C write off, Seller says it was a private plate that had the history recorded against it. This does not make sense to me, as I run the check on the reg number. He says its not and DVLA have no record of the car having been written off? Help !

If a BCM unit has been water damaged how much water would it take? Were it located inside the car I assume passenger side dash? I gather they can be very expensive to replace, how expensive. Could such a failure be down to leaving the roof down on a rainy night? Symptoms, roof operates fine but intermittently, indicators, immobilizer the same

Thinking of upgrading the seats in the Z (PAIR BLACK FAUX LEATHER RECLINING SPORTS BUCKET SEATS) found these on flea bay they come with sliders but not the brackets ,would I be better to save me money as I am heading for huge issues and problems. Supplied by EnergizedCustoms2

Hi guys, yes had it up on Pistonheads for a while when I first got it could not get used to it after my scooby . Wheels are Sparco NS-06 Japanese wheels they have 275 tyres on the them. If anyone likes them happy to swap for something less pretentious. Starting to get my head around the car now. The little niggles I had with it slowly getting sorted, just need to get the wheel alignment sorted as I think that’s affecting the handling :drive 1

Think it may be me, I have largely grown up on front wheel drive or 4, last car was a 305 bhp Subaru and I could just nail that and it just took off, to be fair the 4 wheel drive was doing much of the saving I suspect. My day car is a MK 6 Golf GTD with 170 bhp and front wheel drive. So I really struggle going from diesel to petrol and different drive configuration. Still think I need to get a full geometry check. Had an imported MR2 Turbo years back and after destroying a set of SO2s in 2K miles found all the wheels pointing in any direction but the correct ones. I think out friends in Japan stick over size alloys on and never bother with adjusting the geometry.

OK then this is why I was asking (had coilovers with adjustable shocks on my Subaru) think for road use the car was fine on standard stuff. Pulled out of a up hill tea junction, surface wet and had driven through mud about 4 miles back. Gave the car some beans , was out of control first the back fish tailed then the front went all light, some of this could have been due to the hill but I have never known a car do that. Needles to say I had to go home and change my underwear. 275 on the back and 250 on the front with Dunlop rubber, not the best but that’s what it came with. Any thoughts on what I need to do, laser alignment, tyre pressures, change rubber ? Sort of lost my confidence with it now!!!

Hi all this may appear a stupid question and apologise to those whom grown on reading it. I have a standard 350Z fairlady with Sparco NS-06 over size (width alloys). If I change the suspension to a performance system what benefit can I expect to see? I certainly do not want to spoil the ride by making it too stiff ?

Does anyone know were you can get the covers for the securing points on the rear lights, little plastic covers I think black or red that cover the screw heads that sit in a little pocket. Some pratt has popped them all off and not put them back!

Well that’s what I would have thought, but it would appeaser that most if not all JDMs suffer form similar issues, it all centres around the sat Nav system they all had fitted in Japan. Lost of boxes and amps are installed in all sorts of strange places. Locating the speakers is fine but locating the wires not a chance. They must be their somewhere but good knows were. As I say we stopped short of taking the seats out the carpets and half the dash, as it was just not worth it. I was hoping someone hear may have encountered the same issue and say agh they go to X and you need to re-route them to Y or something!

So pi**ed off with the bloody car it can sit out in the rain for all I care, well until its sold !!!

Car was in the Hi-Fi shop most of sat and even stripping most of the car apart do you think we could find the wiring for the rear speakers. They are defiantly in the car, however to get to them we would have ended up with the roof lining and all or of the boot trims out so we gave up. Any clues or are they fitted by those silly little nips but never wired up. I give up with these cars trying to like it but I think its going to have to go,. This really was the last straw !!! Bring back my Scooby !!!!!

Wanted fully water proof outside car cover for 350Z

Induction Kit KN 57-6013, Fujitsubu exhaust, as far as mods are concerned I agree doing something with the Plenum may be useful. Was really looking at sharpening the car up rather than just more houses but that would be a bonus. Find it odd that these engines struggle to give up power. My Subaru would just go on giving HP for a moderately small investment. However getting it to spin up the revs a bit easier would be a vast improvement
