Hi all if this has been asked before then sorry. Any recommendations on a re-map in the SW and what can I expect on a 2003 32K mile engine. Standard 286bhp is 300 bhp do-able?

wanted replacement seats for 2003 Z can be OEM or preferably bucket that will fit Z runners ?

Any tips on how the hell you remove the top ball joint fitting on the struts,is it an 11 mm bolt or 12 cannot get a good fit with anything?

Hi guys I have a couple of points questions:- I have a car now so how do I change my profile, as I am no longer a Z owner hopeful. Will try to post some pictures as well. Had the car a week and at first I though oh hell what have I done I hated the way it drove and the fact the radio did not work and the tailgate will not stay open. Getting the issues sorted slowly so the niggles should reveal the true car I hope, HOWEVER! The handling on anything other than a very smooth road surface is terrible, the car follows the truck lines and is all over the place, if I give it anything like the full beans its all over the place, the chassis appears not to be able to take the power. Think its positively dangerous, any thoughts, could it need the geometry setting up correctly? Always driven front wheel drive so that may be some of it, frankly wish I was back in my Subaru, at least that cornered. Keeping the faith for now, just!

When you order from SGS they match the struts to the car via a pattern they had made via the origianl I beleive so assume they checked the OEM parts and matched them ! They were only £25.00 a pop so go order some or wait for me to do mine and I will report back if you wish ?

Hi I have orderd a pair form SGS so will let you know how I got on when they have arrived after these comments not looking forward to it,although getting pretty sick of having it land on my head every time I go to the boot. Will be interesting to hear from the experts on hear as to how you get the fittings off the car ? !!!

Think I will bin it then I hate the dam thing anyway, trip to Halfords me thinks I agree it is probably the head unit and the fact that I need a booster on the aerial. The muppet that fitted it has not connected the rear speakers either (checked they are in the car). So suspect he had the wrong whirring harness. Why do people **** around with stuff they do not have a clue what they are doing on. Any one out in the Z world got a good ICE installer in the Somerset/Dorset area really do not want to be driving miles. Thanks guys

Why would I need a band expander given its a UK head unit,sorry am I missing something ?

Hi guys my mistake, should have said the Jap unit had gone and been replaced with a Mutant head unit, trouble is it struggles to hold any station as the signal is so week it distorts or goes into scan mode searching for a channel to lock to. Just feels like the reception side of things is letting the unit down. Frankly getting fed up worth listening to Classic FM !!!! Think I would do better with a coat hanger stuck in the antenna slot.

Can anyone give me a clue what or were I can get a replacement antenna for my Z? currently reception is terrible. Will I need to replace all the cable as well or can I just replace the mast?

wanted double din head unit for JDM 350 on a 2003.

Thanks Guys this is helping a lot JVC any good I rated it in my younger days, will start looking for speakers next think I will need to spend around double my original budget! Will have the speaker covers off the car tonight and see if anything is in there!

Clarion DUB278RMP Double Din Car CD MP3 Ipod USB Player would this be a good HD to start with ? Then I can go looking for speakers. Would I need an amp as well ? Sorry never neen good on ICE sorry.

Thanks James although your manners are not what I have come to find as normal on hear! Yes I have eyes and the car has speakers grills what I do not know without guidance is if anything exists behind them. I was hoping a helpful member might be able to assist me by relating a similar set of circumstances. I will check out ebay as you suggested, or maybe I should sell the car and find a club with a better well-mannered set of members. I was after all just looking for guidance!!

Thanks James, I was always thinking my budget was unrealistic at least you have confirmed it, I suspect as the existing head unit would not supply the speakers set up in the car the guy has just not bothered to connect them. Will need to pull the head out and see what cables we have in behind or is it that a JDM does not have any speakers in the rear ?

Sorry guys I suspect its been asked before ! Just got my Fairlady (hate that name) the previous owner fitted a replacement head unit its complete crap and its hooked up to the front speakers only ,frankly its fit for the bin. I would prefer a double DIN unit that will hook up to all the speakers, car does not have Bose, so what does it have any speakers in the rear any amps etc. Any recommendations on what to fit and a good place to take the car to have it done, not good with car electrics they always bite me, so a DIY approach is out I fear. I live In yeovil Somerset. Any thoughts on Budget was hoping to keep around £200

Hi guys posted on hear a couple of time`s just got my Z ,Light Grey JDM in mint with 52Kmiles on a 03 plate. Live just outside Yeovil in Somerset keen to hook up with other Z owners via meets etc.

Suspect this has been requested more times than a hot dinner, however just got my Z and found that the tailgate does not want to stay open and up, and is trying its dam best to chop my head of by slowly lowering itself. Are the struts easy to get and fit, do I have to go to main stealers for them?

With luck collect car around the end of the month. 55 plate black, tan leather with 20 inch chrome alloys looks stunning.

Hi Guys still looking for a Z, just picky I guess and not prepared to accept mega miles on a car. However any comments on a roadster, I guess they will all in the main be imports, not that bothers me. Does the Z suffer a lot as others do from cutting the roof off, I like a car to handle and if it really screws this up with scuttle shake etc, then I will forget it. I gather they are really bad in terms of stowage space etc, although not overly concerned, as this will be a weekend car.

Confussed guys which is not hard when you get to 52 and buy a Z,however I was woundering if anyone on hear could recommend a good list of cleaning ,polishing products. Car,alloys,engine,clean,polish have pressue washer do I need to invest in a power polisher. Or would I be best to get a pro to do the fist one ? If so anyone recommend one in the south west,hang on a min have to stop and take the straw out of me mouth !!!!! Thanks guys,cider rocks !!

Hi I would like mine done car arrives on the 10th and its a weekend car so can either remove and send you mine or do the swap with deposit . How do we go about it please. Mines a 2002 import. I presume I will need a new gasket when I put the shiney one back on. All I need now is a nice new engine cover to replace the grotty plactic jobby ! GaryGTD
