  1. This is for anyone who has them fitted. Have you got any side skirt or door chip damage? Thinking of fitting them but if if they don't stop this then I can't see the point. My car doesn't have spacers. Cheers.
  2. One of the best looking zeds I've seen...very nice.
  3. The worry for me is that without the lock it makes theft easier for pros who use low-loaders or those possibly towing the car away, albeit the alarm may need disabling. And then there is also the consideration about the effect on the insurance cover............ something to consider. But as the key is still required to start the engine it is still relatively secure, hence why it is doubly important to make sure the kety(s) are always kept safe. Agreed, the other option is try and pick a slu up when a car is being broken for a reasonable price.
  4. It stops the steering lock engaging when you turn the engine off.
  5. Might be of interest to someone. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/370z-19-rays-alloys-Bridgestone-Potenza-tyres-Front-245-35-19-Rear375-40-19-/251215213068?pt=UK_CarParts_Acc_Wheels_tyres_Rims_Car_Wheels_ET&fits=Model%3A370+Z&hash=item3a7d97f20c
  6. Welcome, I've used Richard Sanders Nissan in Kettering and to be fair to them they've been pretty good. Having a P1 done the end of the month with me supplying the oil £150 and you get 12 months RAC thrown in. If it's an independent then lots of people use CS a trader on here in Leicester. Advanced Motorsports is at Silverstone, not sure on prices.
  7. FFS why are the steering lock modules so scarce? Nissan really need to up their game on this. I can feel a fuse failure coming on.
  8. Nice guide thanks. Dealer is checking mine and the key but I'm going to push for replacement. If they won't then this is probably the best option.
  9. I've just mailed my dealer asking for it to be replaced..don't ask and all that. Worth asking Nissan to foot some if not all the bill as these are known to fail over the pond and here on GTRs/370s. I think there's a TSB for GTRs so why there's not one for 370s is beyond belief. Failing that see if you can ge one from a salvage 370? Might save a few quid. I'll see if I can find the GTR TSB.
  10. This is spooky, haven't driven the car for a few days and I had a red light lit on the speedo after I'd started it this morning. Turned it off and back on and the light cleared. I now realise it was the key symbol....FFS...steering lock imminent failure I'm guessing, mines a 10 plate. Going into the stealers on the 30th for service, so I'm going to make them aware and see what they say.
  11. Read this, see if it's the same. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/61751-key-warning-light-on/page__hl__%2Bsteering+%2Block
  12. Sounds like the steering lock failure. Mechanism not disengaging, which you normally hear when you press the start button. On the American forums people have temporarily got them working again by tapping them gently ( it's low down on the steering column) or disengaging the height adjustable steering and bang it up and down a few times...no idea if this will work I hasten to say. Otherwise it's tow truck job I think. Hopefully others will have some input, but good luck. Expensive to get fixed, but hopefully you have some warranty.
  13. You never know! People like their 5 minutes of fame these days!
  14. Programme about unpaid bills and the bailiffs going in..anyone on here?
  15. I like it with the white wheels, I'm a convert! Looks much better than with the black ones.
  16. Quality of the work looks great...not sure about white wheels though? Have to see them on the car.
  17. About to get a P1 done with Nissan £150 with me supplying the oil. Would have been £210 without. Worth remembering you get the RAC cover as well + stamp for what it's worth. The P2 is £345 so £299 isn't bad, I'd supply the oil so you know what's going in. 4.9 litres needed..got mine from opie oils trader on here. 350zuk code gives 10% off.
  18. Bump...anyone who's fitted these? Move about in the holder or snug fit? Or am I worrying about nothing!
  19. Bought a pair off another member and finally got around to fitting them but when they are in the holder they have a fair bit of slack, they aren't a tight fit. The OEM panel filters are. Is this normal for these? I've left the originals in for now.
  20. Used to be the cheapest for me but then they stopped insuring mods, so I ditched them. Are they allowing mods again?
  21. Have to say mine feels pretty well planted, definitely not what the OP is describing. +1 to checking the basics.
  22. I paid £900 with decent tyres all 6mm +, just need to keep an eye out.
  23. I'm with you...if I caught someone doing it I doubt I'd be able to control myself...public flogging wouldn't be enough. Hope you get it sorted chap.
  24. Seem to get fair reviews, tyre choice is a nightmare unless you go for premium brands.

    tyres?

ATS trashed my wheels, the idiot who did it used a screwdriver to gouge the weights off the wheels leaving nice scrape marks. Also marked the rims puttinge tyres on. This was 5years ago, in Kettering..never been back. They did cough up to have them put right.
