  1. Mate, your a legend! that's great, i'll print it out and pin it to the shed wall, kind of like a recipe while i attempt the spray job! nice one.
  2. Right, firstly, this kind of is 350z related, but if the mods feel it should be somewhere else, feel free to move it. I have just bought a 1/32 scale slot car of the Z, only it is blade silver, i want it to match my girlfriend's GM Z. Now, a couple of questions: 1. Can i get the paint from halfords? will it be a good match? 2. What colour primer should i be using on plastic? 3. I've never used spraypaint before, any tips on using spray cans so i don't make a total balls-up of it? Cheers Michael.
  3. Ha ha.... close 'maguiores' fail on you both magiuors You sir, fail at pointing out fails! It's "Meguiar's"
  4. that's ace. Only it wouldn't work on me because I don't read messages until after theatch has finished. But I'm gonna give this a go now. Did you get a reply???
  5. I use Megs Shampoo plus (the blue one) and it's great. works a treat and smells nice too which i a completely unnecessary bonus
  6. We have to park the zed outside on the drive as we have no garage. One of the neighbours cats has now decided that it likes to sleep on the car! How can i stop it from going on the car as it is eventually going to scratch it, and if it does i wont have to worry about it because i will bury the cat any useful suggestions?
  7. Spotted on colne bridge road (near Mamas & Papas) in huddersfield, Black with the original spec wheels (not rays) reg was NL06 ***.
  8. Pfft... 8gb 3G here mate tried the new OS on it and it damn near stopped
  9. We were in the middle lane of the M62 last weekend overtaking a 991 Turbo Cabriolet and the lad in the passenger seat (about 12-13ish) was almost facing the wrong way and pointing at us as we drove past, brought a smile to my face until I realised he was actually looking at the Lambo Gallardo Spyder cruising past us in lane 3 LOL have had the odd boxter driver give us the thumbs up though, which was nice, especially as i dont lke boxters!!
  10. Yep, did that, but couldn't the the fecker off! must have applied too much pressure and broke it!
  11. Having bought my brother's iphone 3g off him for a measly £70 with shattered glass, but fully working touch screen, i decided to buy the new glass and repair it. Step 1. order from ebay the new glass. Step 2. glass arrives and i open a guide i found but hadn't previously read. Step 3. take the iphone to bits as far as the glass and digitizer Step 3. swear alot and throw the closest thing to hand at the wall in a rage when i realised i could neither remove the digitizer from the old glass without breaking it, nor could i put it back together because some of the old glass had crumbled away due to it shattering ! step 4. calm down, pick my toys back up and put them back in my pram, and order the correct part step 5. try and piece back together the only spare phone in the house which was said closest thing to hand and now lay in about 8 pieces on the floor! step 6. google anger management classes step 7. explain to my boss why i will be unreachable by phone for a few days iphone 3g with broken glass - £70 new glass from ebay - £6.50 losing my temper at my own stuidity - £78.50 (£50 for spare phone, £8.50 for correct part, £10 for a tub of filler to repair the phone shaped hole in the wall) trying to explain to my girlfriend why i had thrown our emergency phone at the wall, thus creating a mess of the wall - £priceless!!!
  12. cheers mate, I guess the only way to be sure would be to buy the module, hook it up to the car, and then try it!
  13. can you pair 2 phone simultaneously to the bluetooth in the car? what i mean by that is, if me and my gf are out in the car and both our phones have bluetooth switched on, if either one of them rings will it automatically be picked up by the bluetooth module and directed through the car?? or can you only have one (i.e. the driver's phone) paired at any one time???
  14. Hi mate, I got my karcher from Argos last week, they had a bit of a sale on them, might be worth having a look, got mine for £50, which I thought was quite cheap.
  15. don't be using pressure washer on car before the snowfoam - otherwise your blasting all the dirt and grit into/along the paintwork! good point, never thought of this, it does help to remove all the dead bugs though!
  16. i've used mazuma a couple of times and they are excellent mate.
  17. sound advise there mate, i would probably go down the detailer route too. although if you want to have a go at it yourself, this is how i cleaned the car the first time: pressure wash with water snow foam pressure wash to rinse 2 bucket method with lambswool mitt rinse with open ended hose (easier to dry as the water runs off the car more freely) dry clay the car (removes bonded contaminants) lime prime (helps with light scratches/swirls) buff with microfibre then i applied a coat of wax after 12-18 hours apply a quick detailer (i use dodo juice red mist) i will do this once every 6 months or so then every week just was it and dry using a quick detailer then once a month/6 weeks do the above but without the claying to remove and reapply the wax layer. I'm sure i'll have left something out and one of the more experienced guys on here will correct me, but that is the basics really. hope that helps mate. (get some before and after pics up too )
  18. How much would you want for it mate also have you got any pics?
  19. How much would you want for it mate also have you got any pics?
  20. Just a quick question, how long do they last? just curious as i think we might need some new wiper on the Zed and don't really want to fork out all that coin for the PIAA's if they don't last much longer than regular ones. Ta.
  21. would prefer a proper black one really mate, but if it's mint and there aren't any mint black ones, may well take you up on it. Have you got any pics please?
  22. yeah pics would be great please mate. thanks

  24. I changed the alternator on one of mine, what a joke, the bumper had to come off and because the bonnet opens from the windscreen up, that had to come off too, even then the slam panel was in the way and it took me bloody ages, in the pooring rain LOL still, i loved that car, soooooooo much fun, just a bit old and too difficult to find a good one now!
