  1. This has happened to my drivers side. I was parked in the corner of a car park and hadn't put my wing mirrors in.. came back to find the drivers side in but the passenger not.. paint on the outside of the drivers side.. someone had hit it.. Its not worked from then it goes in fine but only goes out about half an inch and stops - this happens at the normal speed.. I've to push it out the rest of the way which will finish with a loud pop / click.. I think there are plastic cogs inside which have had teeth broken off... could be a similar case? I'm going to attempt to dismantle and see how this goes so when I do I'll post back!
  2. the lights fit in the bracket but the connection is completely different
  3. also worth noting if you don't already have bi-xenons you don't have the correct wiring loom as they are 8 pin not 6 pin... unsure if there is a converter but id think not...
  4. Was going to go for it to replace my faulty but ive a lot of things to pay for this month so im still undecided! Very cheap though!
  5. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NISSAN-350Z-O-Side-right-Bi-Xenon-Headlamp-Assembly-/271129914236 seems cheap
  6. bugger looks like I'll be getting a new light unit then! thanks guys
  7. cheers CS I'll see if any of the adjusters are out of skew I wonder if I can just use a high temp glue from the back of the light to see if that would work? I don't fancy paying £1098+ vat from Nissan for a new one
  8. z-monster Its not the suspension rebound as its only happening on one light Dicky - There's a ballest for each light its screwed on with 3 screws to the back of each lamp and its only the left hand side.. What I've notice is if I hit the light with my hand the silver part inside is shaking however if I do this on the passenger side it does not! Is there a few screws or something that holds this part tight?
  9. ^ Lol.. my mistake!! Scubapics - yes I cannot shake it with my hands from the engine bay area hence I didn't think it was the light cluster itself..
  10. When I'm driving over some bumps I can see that my light is "shaking/Shiver" or if I'm going past signs I can see the light "shaking/Shivering" on the reflection.. Has anyone seen this before? I hope its not the light reflector within the light casing and just a loose bulb.. has anyone any ideas of what it could be or where I should look? It passed MOT but it only happens when driving and I don't want to be blinding anyone with the Bi-Xenons

    W brace

folks I've to replace the W Brace on my car.. Can anyone tell me if its just the 6 bolts on it that require to be removed or if there's more that needs to come off the bottom of the car? Tempted to do it in the dark outside if its just a case of 6 bolts..
  14. would a weeks worth of day insurance cost much? you might be able to offset the cost by £50 at least and you're still legal?
  15. Cheers guys.. First price is in.. £290 that includes the £150 discount by my Energy company! Comments? (bare in mind this is Northern Ireland)
  16. Cheers for the response guys! I've emailed a few local firms to give me prices. Hopefully get it before Janurary/Feburary when the really cold weather arrives
  17. ts absolutely baltic this time of year. I've done a lot of work on the house from we've moved in which included getting PVC doors inplace of the old wooden doors that the rain actually blew through! One thing we have noticed is its bloody freezing this year albit not half as drafty. When we where getting sky installed I noticed that no insulation came out.. (hole was drilled pritty low to the ground).. I'm wondeirng if anyone knows anything about cavity wall insulation? I've found my Electric company has some deal on and I've found prices online saying it costs "up to £350".. It does not say if this is per wall or for the whole house.. Can anyone comment if these prices are going to be per wall or for the full house?
  18. My rear element clicks so thats normal! as above check fuses
