The fact that the thread was locked has not stopped your story being heard by other members!! I caught up on this after it was locked, so it's hardly a contradiction! I'll pm you what I meant about the legal ramifications if you like because it's clear that you've misunderstood what I meant. I'm actually on your side in all this, I shouldn't need to justify my comments. I just think it's unfair that Beavis did the right thing and it's all blown up in his face.

Beavis, I've never met you and I'm fairly new to this forum, but I just wanted to say that after reading about Huskys appauling experience, you were totally right to lock the thread. It was becoming less of a forum discussion and more of a public slanging match between Husky and the other party concerned. I back your decision 100% as this was in danger of turning into a legal battle which could have been very detrimental to the forum in the long run. I think it's such a shame and an injustice that you felt the need to quit your post as a result of this, I know how hard you've been working to organise the Wales trip and how efficient you have been in dealing with everything, as indeed have the other moderators. Speaking of injustices, Husky I totally feel for you. I had a very similar problem when the auto gearbox went in my mitsubishi fto years ago, after owning it for only a few months. The dealer/warranty company totally skirted around the problem to avoid getting it replaced under warranty and I was out of pocket for a similar amount as you. I also put it down to experience, but it just shows that without your posts on this forum, we're all in danger of falling victims to these companies who know all the little tricks to get away without paying out, and effectively finding legal ways to rip us off. Good on you for sticking to your guns, you may have lost out this time but at least you can take some comfort on the fact that all the other members on here are now aware and can hopefully avoid this on the future. Good on you mate, you took one on the chin for all of us!!

You'd think they should be the ones calling you up for the test drive, and treating you like royalty to get your business, especially for a car like that. They're all the same...!! It really worries me that if they're this crap when you're trying to buy the car, just how bad is the aftersales service going to be!?!?!?!?

I've never had a 350z so can't compare it. But my 370 is awesome, I can't stop driving it!! It can be quite docile around town if you want it to, but when you open it up it's incredible!! The exhaust note is getting better and better with age... at 4500rpm the sound is amazing, really high pitched, then just gets louder and better if you keep your foot down, and really pins you back in your seat. Sounds more like a V12 than a V6!!! I've got the 7 speed tiptronic version too which is awesome.... 0 to 60 feels much quicker than 5 seconds, although I haven't timed it yet!! I prefer using the paddles to change up and down, although I know that's personal taste!! You never get bored of it turning heads wherever you go as well...!!

Yes, that's my actual reg!! It could very well have been me on my way to work at a football match, either Wigan or Blackburn, or in the Midlands. I usually get flashed by other zed drivers, or give a wave if I see any myself!! (We should have a special forum code..!!)

Surely I would have thought that if you say that you plan to have the servicing carried out at the same dealer then this should work in your favour to get an even better deal. In my personal experience I had to push really hard for the deal that I wanted, even though the dealer said I was being unrealistic. But eventually after lots of useless negotiations and after threatening to take my business elsewhere, they reluctantly gave in and I got the deal I wanted.... WITH the mats and boot mat thrown in!! I won't be losing any sleep about not being on their Christmas card list!! Be ruthless mate, they'll screw you if you let them!! (Although I'm sure the guys in Slough are a lot nicer to deal with than the unprofessional ******s I dealt with in Halifax!!)

I decided not to persue it any further in the end, although customer services did give they impression that they'd be willing to help out with getting an upgrade. You should definately give them a call if you're still wanting to get yours changed.

On the rare occation that I do use my Zed for work (Leeds to Manchester) I usually get around 30mpg. I've found that a constant 68mph is much more economical than doing 70!!

It's only a scratch...... Look on the positive side, perfect opportunity to get that bodykit ordered!!!
