  1. Wait til the engine is run in and you can take it above 4k, that's where the fun REALLY starts!!!
  2. Haha, I suppose not. I might come in the Astra just to be on the safe side
  3. I'm thinking it would look awesome in black, with gold stripes..... hmmmmmmm!!
  4. That's fair comment Chris. For a minute it sounded like I'd wasted my ex-girlfriend's boob job money on a sports car that didn't handle because of it's big wheels!! Last year I was lucky enough to trash a 370z around Silverstone at the Nissan Race Academy, and IMHO I would hardly call the handling "refined". Going sideways at those sorts of speeds is the most fun I've ever had with my clothes on... and the fact that I still felt totally in control can surely only be a good thing??? It's worth pointing out that the non GT version does come with 18 inch wheels if the 19s don't appeal...!!
  5. Sorry, am I missing something.........???
  6. Just one thing I have noticed about the 370... whenever I'm driving on my own the car feels extremely nimble and responsive, and the acceleration is awesome. However, when I have a passenger next to me the car does feel quite a bit slower and less responsive. I know that the 370 is supposed to be lighter than the 350, so the extra weight of a passenger should (in theory) make more of a difference. I wonder if this could be why your test drive was as uninspiring as you say, especially if the salesman was a bit "hefty"??
  7. That's a great write up. I'd just like to throw in a couple of pointers if I may. Firstly, I can't fault your views about Nissan dealers. I bought my 370z in November, and although I was really excited about getting the car, the whole car buying experience was something I'd rather forget. I don't think Nissan dealers (or many others in my experience) go through any customer service training whatsoever, they just seem to be focussed on squeezing as much money out of the customer as possible. My car was even handed over to me with an almost empty tank of fuel... not happy!!!! But about the car... unfortunately I never owned a 350z so it would be pointless me trying to give any opinion on your comparisons with the 370. All I can say is that after 4000 miles of ownership the car still feels as awsome to drive as ever...!! I guess you just get used to the limited visibilty (I don't notice it at all), and I actually prefer the lower seating position!! I also have the 7 speed paddle shift version which I think is great fun to use, but then I guess that's just down to personal taste at the end of the day. I'd be really interested to hear other opinins...
  8. Can anyone tell me what those wheels are??
  9. Thanks guys.... I'm still waiting to see anyone else with a black one. Surely I can't be on my own???
  10. Really loving those carbon fangs mate, I'd have done the same if I'd have had mine in any other colour. I'm looking for a decent exhaust system for my 370 but not sure which I should be going for. Any thoughts??

If you don't like your car that much you can always give it to me I never said MY Zed!!!!!!!!!
  12. Haha... I suppose not. I piled tonnes of pressure on myself right from my first post!!!

    Chrome GTR

I really really like it.....!! I've seen this effect recently on a Hummer and also on a Lambo Murcialago (owned by a couple of certain footballers - who else??), but I think it looks amazing on the GTR, and the black spoiler and wheels finish it off nicely!! I know its a Marmite thing, but can't understand why the majority of you seem to hate it so much!! I wonder what the Zed would look like in full chrome...????
  14. Thanks mate, I've spent many an afternoon over at Odsal photographing the Bulls.... those steps down to the pitch are a killer!!! Are there many other members from our neck of the woods that you know of??
  15. Not sure what its called, but that sounds about right!
  16. Yes, its the East side of the Humber Bridge.
  17. Thanks for all your comments. As promised, here are some new pictures of my Zed...... hope you like them!!!
  18. CORRECTION: Errrrmmmm..... I think I mean't to say right foot!!!
  19. That sounds very practical and very good idea, keeping the daily driver. You'll enjoy that Zed when you're behind the wheel even more. The best thing is... that Astra does about 60mpg if I'm really carefull, so when I get in the Zed I have no guilty feelings when my left foot hits the floor and the clock is screaming "20mpg" at me, because really that means in total I'm averaging a very respectable 40mpg!!!
  20. Yes I did Chris, thanks very much for telling me about this site... I was worried that I might not be able to make most of those US meets!!!
  21. She's a beaut.....!! I've just spent 32k on a 370
  22. I couldn't agree more... its still the best car I've ever owned, and am ever likely to own, and I don't think anything can take away the smile you get on your face everytime that needle glides past 4,500 revs!! See you in Wales.... hopefully you'll have yours by then
  23. Thanks Bradders. The black is a nightmare to keep clean, especially this time of year, but definately worth it. I know what you mean about the look of the 370s, they can look a little "awkward" from certain angles when you see them in photographs, but its a completely different beast in the flesh - it looks very low and wide, and almost like an exotic!! Hope you get one, I'm sure you'll love it. I'll be taking more pictures soon..... see if I can convert more of you 350 owners!!!
