  1. Use the different settings dependant upon where you are and what you are shooting. Eg. 200mm lens ans aperture prio or manual for moving vehicles or objects to emphasize the photograph's live action.
  2. Surprisingly It didn't take too long - Photobucket (bulk uploader) The "early F1-type-looking car" is actually a pre-war plane engine 24ltr Bentley...didn't it ever make some noise! One of the blue Datsun 240z had an RB26 motor in it too!
  3. 'Lo! Thought I'd share another group of photographs on here; this time from Retro Rides 2012 (PRescott Hill Raceway, 19.08.12). A car show whereby basically anything goes really and of course owners may take their own cars up the hill and watch true hill climb cars and some rather different cars altogether! Hell of a fun day, Sun beating down, highly recommended!
  4. Thanks AK350Z The rear is seemingly alright, the front I've had to ebay for a new front wheel, found a mavic d321 rim with hope 20mm thru-axle for £40. Swapping the bottom bracket over in a few days or so, but I'm a little lost in how to fit my blackspire c4 chain device, caan't seem to find a mount or any information on how they are mounted. Been to the local bike shop and was told they need an iscg mount however, the only one I can find is an e-thriteen iscg mount, I just don't know whether it's universal. Who knew building a bike was this hard!
  5. Does anyone know if Shimano hubs 9mm f/r can be converted into 20mm thru-axle front and 12mm rear? Pretty random and possibly nubish question, but I've no idea and google seems to have 'too' much info to trawl through these days!
  6. Colours will only change the look slightly, to make a real impact you'd have to change the wheels entirely Neil. You know this!
  7. At that price I don't think they'll be on the cards for a while!
  8. I ordered the stoppers separately as there weren't any with the forks i bid for. Think I have a tool like that somewhere in the shed. Good to know I've basically everything i need to crack on!! Cheers for the help!
  9. As I'm not a relatively tall chap I've attained myself a Commencal Supreme 6 (min dh 6.3) and currently have some 6" Boxxers on the way too. The donor bike will be a Kona Shred, I know the stigma with Kona's but I honestly cannot fault it . I'm more trails and downhill than jumps nowadays (probably due to the fact I'm getting older ) . The only piece I'll change next will be the front brake to an M4 or the like as I've already got an M4 on the rear. So in terms of swapping the bearings in the headset and the crank I don't need to buy new ones? Just clean the old ones up and re-grease? Last question; anything I should need going from single crown to triple?
  10. I've a question to all the bike lovers here. I'm building a new dh bike from a donor bike and ebay buys. My question is what should i buy brand new and will i need a new bottom bracket if so what size? Sorry 3 questions in there. Cheers!!
  11. The Mk1 Golf situation was disappointing. Barely any there, although the one or two we did see were race builds. I have a few vids of the Mk1 golfs and that crazy hillclimb Audi quattro which I'll post up shortly.
  12. Don't know if anyone else went, but the pics of the helicopter were due to a huge crash on the drag strip. Seat cupra went across secondary lane, through plastic bariers and into the crowd all due to the fact his 'clip-on' steering wheel came off. At least 4 people went flying up into the air
  13. Happened to pop by GTI International last weekend on Sunday 24.06.12 and take some snaps for people to enjoy. Hoping to do the same at Japfest 2 also!
  14. Bring it to my mech' friend, he did mine for a box of budweiser!
  15. + they should be green ( maybe that's just me )
  16. Nay, thinking more spokes for that car buddy!
