  1. Hi, Just got a orange warning light up on the dash ,looks like a engine shaped thing bottom left of left clock.what is it and what could be the problem thanks Mark
  2. Hi, Just replaced my rear boot struts with ones from SGS easiest job iv'e ever done works a treat, just tell them what spoiler you have and they send some new ones to suit .best £60 iv'e spent. Mark
  3. Hi, Replaced my rears just over 2 months ago got rid of the Teflon Dunlops and replaced them with Avon ZZ3 and they are fantastic tyres and cheep as well. Mark
  4. Hi, thanks for that but don't seem to have a problem with the original ? it seems to clear ok
  5. Hi, Will the summit strut brace clear the engine and bonnet with a spacer fitted. Thanks Mark
  6. Hi, Been looking at the dealers on here and i see that MW Tech Racing sells hub concentric spacers with flush fitting nuts ?that saves fitting longer bolts ,this would enable a BBK or indeed a standard brembo kit to fit. but how close can i get to the wings with the tyres so they do not catch.245/40/20 fitted? on the front. mark
  7. Hi , Thanks for the offer Paul if i knew that they would fit behind the wheels,Lowenhart LD5's i'd snatch them up I'd have to try to fit them on a standard brembo set up to see any body live near Sheffield so i can try.nice wheels by the way. The disks are Turbogroves but as i said the inner side of the disks are a lot more worn than the outer and appear to be sticking by the colour of them so i assume that the callipers are Kaput so new disks would not really help? can the jdm callipers be repaired Thanks Mark
  8. Hi, Thanks for the input ,the rears have about 25mm of clearance for some reason even though they have bigger dish, getting rid of the wheels is not a viable option really as i would still have crap brakes .
  9. Hi, My jdm has crap brakes the front disks do not wear even? the insides more than the out and they judder like mad there knackered So i decided to have fitted a BBK [K sport 330mm 8 pot]problem is the brakes fit the car but the wheels will not fit on[20in 3 piece ] :bangin:they would need 15-20mm spacers to be made to fit but then would not go under the arches. as BBK calipers all appear to be bigger were do i go from here? are standard uk brembos bigger than JDM callipers? particularly in width which is the problem, are brembo disks the same thickness.Don't want to change wheels Help is much appreciated
  10. Hi, This must be a general problem ,I thought that it was just me mine was unbearable in summer ,never had the heater on in summer ,so iv'e just had the exhaust wrapped and it's a big improvement and it cuts the drone inside fron the APS system.
  11. Hi, I had my remap done at RS in March my results went from 277.5 to 300.8bhp and about 27lbs ,total changed the car ran like a sick pig before now it's so eager to go and the mpg has improved.having the brakes done there this week. Mark
  12. Hi, Glad that you like the VXR8 I have the occasional access to a VXR Monaro i too find them fantastic cars the build quality as you say is so much better, better fuel economy etc, very little to match them on a standing start except for ugly little jap rockets or is that skips. when it's time for the Z to go i'll have my sons might keep the Z as well who knows. If you don't like Black get it wrapped my son is having his done in July white. Mark
  13. Hi, Just had a reflash done at RSI in Leeds and very satisfied transformed the car ,never really ran to good before after all the bolt on's but now it feels eager to go. fuel consumption will not improve as i seem to drive a little more spirited now. Mark
  14. I'll just dream about the last car. Mark
  15. Hi, Bradders gives good advice I have many years experience in high powered cars and it took me by surprise how tail happy the Z is ? Go steady. Mark
  16. Hi, Hope it's insured outside your house, in fact how do you manage to get insurance when it's not garaged? also what have you been up to, £3000 ?when my son had his at 20 his insurance was only £1000 have you been a bad boy. Mark
  17. Hi, Welcome to the forum ,and guy's leave the Lady alone it's common knowledge that French women are the most Beautiful women on the planet . Mark
  18. Hi, Please don't knock my son he is one heck of a good driver ,always observes the speed limits in Germany ,you do not infringe them often ,he drives like he's on auto pilot knows all the speed limits like the back of his hand and had travelled this Autobahn many times but the ever efficient Germans repair and clear roadworks so efficiently that there was no visible sign of roadworks, to us in the Uk it would look like someone had dropped litter out of the car, when he is driving and with Germans in general if the sign says 80kph or in places even 50kph in some ares that is what they do it's as if there are electronic speed limiters fitted at birth, until you get to unrestricted sections of the Autobahns then it's The Germans are the most aggressive drivers in the world when let loose ,''The Tarmac Terrorists'' I call them. His current car tops out at 192mph,and that is slow compared to some he still has to move out of the 3rd lane. Mark
  19. Hi, Docwra some nice wheels , 1. are nice. 2. are not nice. 3. are very nice. 4 are think that iv'e found some replacements at last if i can't have a refurb.[$6000] I assume that number 3 is a German car without silly tyres. Mark
  20. Hi, Have the manifolds done ,well worth the effort ,best bet get a fixed price for having them done at some exhaust place that has never done them before and give them the job ,they will not charge you any extra as they agreed a price before hand just make sure that you get the correct ones and a quality is better in my book ,I had Nissmo type R's fitted to mine and He said they were the easiest manifolds that they had ever fitted and it only took about 1/2 day. Mark
  21. Hi, If you think speed restrictions due to roadworks are a pain here ,thank God that you don't get caught in Germany speeding through road works ,there very hard to see badly sign posted and they are in operation 24/7 my son in my Z when it was his got caught on the Hamburg Autobahn coming from a unrestricted section to a 80klm [approx 50mph] for about 700 yards then back to unrestricted at night with no other vehicles on the road and no sign of any work being carried out ,which is not unusual for the Germans as they do move things unlike in the Uk where we leave cones all over the place when not in use, The fine Gentlemen was 800 Euro s ? he was doing 158mph.but no points. all the best Mark
