  1. The Icelandic Phallological Museum is probably the only museum in the world to contain a collection of phallic specimens belonging to all the various types of mammal found in a single country.
  2. Clarkson is responsible for the craze of sentences without a verb. Definitely. ETA This post is a bit late. Sorry. Da do do do .........................
  3. I was on the team that built 2 airports in Nigeria ... the first in Yola (Jimeta) where I was Materials Engineer on the runway construction and the second where I was Resident Engineer on the Terminal Buildings project ... 1978 - 1882

  6. Galveston, oh Galveston, I still hear your sea winds blowin' I still see her dark eyes glowin' She was 21 when I left Galveston Galveston, oh Galveston, I still hear your sea waves crashing While I watch the cannons flashing I clean my gun and dream of Galveston I still see her standing by the water Standing there lookin' out to sea And is she waiting there for me? On the beach where we used to run Galveston, oh Galveston, I am so afraid of dying Before I dry the tears she's crying Before I watch your sea birds flying in the sun At Galveston, at Galveston
  7. A38 may seem like an unusual name for a club restaurant and concert venue, but that is not all that is unusual; this hub of cool culture is located in Buda beside the Danube and Pet?fi Bridge. More surprisingly, the whole culture and entertainment centre are housed in a converted cargo ship originally built in Ukraine in 1938. The upper decks have bars and a restaurant with excellent views of the Danube. As a concert venue, the hold has been re-fitted with excellent acoustics and all the latest in audio technology, this has helped them attract and impressive array of stars from all round the world as well as stars from Hungary.
  8. There's a thread on PH that I post on quite regularly ... It's a laugh and it's quite educational at times The rules are 'quote the post above and your random fact must be linked to it' The first post on PH was by tuffer so let's start with that and see where it gets us 'I was born in the small Cornish Village of Dobwalls, which you will have driven through if using the A38'
  9. I would like to hear the opinion of any insurers please
  10. apparently it varies from company to company ... that's the basis of my rant
  11. Yep ... 5% more ... and I can prove I have 27+1 years, but they say they can only take into account the NCD stated by my previous insurer (Aviva)
  12. I have proof of my previous NCD (27 years) from Admiral ... Privilege (my current insurer) were not interested
  13. Anyway, back on topic, what's the answer ....how can I get my 28 years NCD back ?
  14. ^this^ phone them up and make them have it, it could just be an error on their part, and i agree it does matter that they have taken it from you regardless of what their maximum limit is tried that to no avail ... just a nellie no brain on the other end of the phone
  15. Yes !!! ... cost me an extra 20 quid with Privilege
  16. You're right but that doesn't make what they've done right ... as I said I went into Aviva with 27 years NCD, had no claims, and came out with only 6 years ...
