    The 300 PS engine was quite a lot different from the 280 ... there were some internal changes to valves etc. to allow it to rev higher IIRC ... I don't know what I'm talking about really but I do know that it wasn't just a remap !

    the 296 bhp rev up was called a 300 because the power output is 300 PS or Pferdestärke (horse-strength in German)

    IIRC, even a rev up is only 296 bhp

    although this is advised a TC system work on the speed difference on each axle so if you stay between the percentage difference in size irrelevant of the oem between each angle vdc etc will be fine agreed
