  1. There are penty of CAI kits already available, maybe worth taking a look at these to get measurements etc. I'd definitely be looking at the kits giving the best gains in order to find optimum pipe diameter etc. Also the same for the filter. I don't know how much access to workshops etc you have and how handy you are with fabricating your own materials (brackets and the like). What is it you want exactly from your custom system? If you are making a CAI then be wary of Hydrolock etc. Its probably easier and maybe cheaper to modify a second hand one or just buy one new!
  2. good job im still eating the pizza from last night, had some for breakfast, lunch, 4pm and having it for tea to report back on the bases: the dominator as always was amazing but its such hard work! and it will kill you for the next few days, the double decadence was actually very nice and i felt adequately full after the whole 13.5" although i then had two slices of the dominator to put me into the Stuffed category NOM NOM NOM I wish I'd ordered double decadence now. Husky you sound like a food critic
  3. Sold to zmanalex pending payment
  4. Just ordered a large Hawian with extra cheese from dominoes.
  5. Its a JDM one. fakeindian showed me your thread. Am I right in saying your after a UK one?
  6. I'm a pig.... but 24 inches? Sh!t the bed!
  7. Ive got a standard cat back if you are desperate. Your not too far from me either.
  8. Im hoping his GTR will be there when mine is in. Didn't realise Vernon Kay was a carbon whore
  9. I think i'm sold on the matt handles!
  10. I agree, looking forwrad to getting it all done tbh. Your splitter looks good in carbon. Might have to do some trawling!
  11. Looking good, I think a decent gloss black would look as good tbh. Will have to see.
  12. That would be great, would give me some sort of idea
  13. Hmm sounds good. I wonder what the Rota 'yamaha black' code is...
  14. Cheers for that, I'll have a word with the body shop about the black they an use. I'm very undecided. Yoko - Heres a pic, not the best but if you could do a chop that would be greatly appreciated!
  15. What colour is the car? Envy is a great lip to get, but in answer to your initial question, DM Carbon are associated with a trader on here. Dixon Motorsports Didnt realise Dixon were associated with them, Dixon have a very good reputation, so that makes me feel alot more confident. Zed is GM Personally I would be going matt black with the GM esp if your going handles and badges. I would say the same for Sunset and Blade. Red and Blue suit gloss black... White could go either way dependent on the style of the rest of the car.. Gloss black will stand out a fair amount and not blend in like matt will. As a trial get some matt and gloss black vinyl and cover the wing mirror, should give you a good idea and be cheaper than getting them resprayed if you dont like the look! Hmm, I was thinking gloss black to go with the splitter etc. Got me thinking now. Would be interested to see some comaprison pics.

  17. I haven't seen the SXOC lot for ages. Might venture down. Would be good to see your motor again especially with the new lip and sub. I'll probably go for the splitter in the FRP as I want it doing in gloss black. Having the door handles, badges and wing mirrors in gloss black while its in the bodyshop too. What you reckon?
  18. Ah right, yours looks good. Not a massive amount more either.
  19. It was the for sale thread that drew my attention to it. The brand new replica lip is £94, but its fibreglass so... http://dmcarbonltd.com/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&page=shop.browse&category_id=148&Itemid=34&4b0b9ff3b60cf667efc8fb45da3d5dfa=6c86bfb1bfa455a6bf02671def99d77b The Zed is going into the bodyshop either way next week to have the rear bumper resprayed and a ding taken out and a few other bits. Thought while its in there I might have this lip sprayed and fitted (If the quality is right). This picture shows what the lip would look like on a GM like mine:
  20. Just as an update, I visited Specialised paintwork today to get an estimate on my insurance claim. They were really friendly and have a vast knowledge of what they are doing, some nice motors there aswell The guy who I dealt with (forgot his name) referred to my Zed as 'she'. Which I thought was quite nice! When the owner saw the Zed he mentioned that Vernon kay had recently been in with his GTR to have some bits and pieces colour coded like his door handles! Then he told me he was bringing it in again to have some carbon stuff fitted, he took me upstairs and showed me about 2k worth of carbon fibre that Vernon had shipped over to go on his GTR. I'll get a pic next time I go!
  21. Has anybody ever bought any replica body parts from DM Carbon? They do a replica of the Veilside V1 front lip which I could have fitted while the Zed is in the bodyshop next week. Are there any fitment issues at all with their products? Whats the quality like? Cheers!
