  1. Oh. And 3 colour finish too. Still nowhere near £600.
  2. Sorry. Wrong pic. This is a before and after. The wheels were totally manky when I dropped them off. Chipped and curbed everywhere.
  3. I don't know where your located Mate, but I agree with the guys. £600 is a total rip off. I took mine to a team local to me and got change out of £250. At that rate you could courier them here to Yorkshire, get a great finish done and courier back and still have a lot of change out of £600. The finish is second to none and better than factory by a mile. Give Brian a call: 0113 287 3005. PM me and I'll give you more details and a good deal.
  4. I had mine changed on warranty after 18 months. The dealer showed me the warranty receipt £3528.00 for a brand new set of 4. Drove the Z home and took them off. On the car for 1 hour. Replaced them with a set I bought on the forum for £350 and had refurb locally. Get a chewed up set and have them fixed. The finish on Rays from the factory is totally garbage anyway. Mine were done smoked chrome with polished rim and black hoop behind. Z centre caps. First set on here often copied now I've noted. (Flattered). My top tip is have them Carbon dipped at Wicked Coatings. Totally trick.
  5. Well the P3 has finally arrived. My Z is out of warranty so don't need to be stood up by the dealer highwayman any more. Does anyone have a list of items require for the p3 service. Thanks in advance.

    paint

If its Tempur Orange mate, you'll need a lot of luck to get a match. Mine under artifficial light is mad to look at. All the metal is one colour and the plastic is another. The paint is a number of processes. Colour, Tint Pearl and laquer. They should do about 10 spray out test cards and if they're on the ball use a Microspectrophotometer (Impressive eh ) to get as close as can be had. Good luck.
  7. Totally agree, the Bose stuff isn't really Bose. It's totally garbage. Got the whole lot in my garage. Removed after 3 month on my Z when new. Could get rid of it fast enough. Turn it up and it sounds like a duck farting under water. If you only listen to the radio, why bother anyway.
  8. Build your own. Www.cclonline.com. You can do it...
  9. Thank your lucky stars mate! I have a blister on the roof of my09 Tempur and Nissan have made every excuse short of meteorite damage to get out of fixing it. The Dealer was fine, but Nissan UK are a total disgrace they were going to get out of sorting it anyway they could. Even the dealership offered to put 200 quid into it saying it was body corosion system failure, leaving Nissan only 180 to pay to get the job done and they mugged me off for that piddling amount of money on a car that cost 32,728. In the end all they've done is alienate a customer and lost any semblence of loyalty. Totally discusted with them.
  10. Yes deffo on the spacers Lexx. (Next item on the to do list). Will it never end DD I always say if it looks good do it. The colour is bang on though. It's just the way the light hit it. The caps are a flat surface and obviously everything on the wheel is curved. If you hold the caps up and move them in the light the match should be spot on. They were a complete bar steward to get in as well. They look great on your Z M8.
  11. Ok these are the finished items. Only just managed to get them fitted. Ben busy. I know they've already been copied. Flattery indeed. I've had my centres colour coded and used the Z version, not the Nissan. Nice little touch I think. Hope you like. Cosidering these were damaged quite a bit, the finish is first class. Nissan replaced my original Rays 2 weeks ago because of corrosion. The ticket price they were charged under warranty was (Big swallow) £3528.00. That is just crazy. These are now sat in my garage all wrapped up nice and cosy after a good coat of wax. I asked Brian at The Wheel Specialist why they cost so much to buy new. His answer was Rays are very strong Drop forged wheels (He had to explain that process to me), But hey are also very light, which I hadn't noticed till I picked one up without the tyre on. Lastly he said he'd never seen a buckled one from normal use (Ever). So thats what we're paying for . I still think it;s a lot.
  12. Hi M8, And Welcome. I came from an RX8 PZ. I may have been lucky. The RX's build quality to me shades the Nissan. The PZ also out handled the Z with the Prodrive tuned suspension, But that's about it. The torque the Z gives you will amaze you compared to the RX which is pitiful and remember the PZ came with all the bits on. I never had Oil issues, although I'd heard all the scarey stories (4 Litres in 2 years between changes) Oil changes are every 3000Mls for me and still are with the Z. The RX's fuel consumption "IS" scarey though. The Z will see money appear in your pocket. They can't really be compared and are a totally different animals. I enjoyed the RX, but I love my Z. In a foot race take the Z it'll leave the RX8 behind on raw grunt alone. (My 2 peneth).
  13. You have my sympathy M8. its a complete B"£$@*d to match and paint. And ours is the rarest of Z's to find. If it was a Pokemon card it'd be worth stacks.
  14. I'm with you on this one. Slow heating and then slow cooling should have little no effect on alloys. If the process was repeated 400 times, then maybe they might become brittle, but realistically, look how many wheels are refurbished everyday. Its more likely that a few bad pot holes hit in the road would cause more damage than the refurb process. I've Seen wheels damaged from a single impact and then others after a few repeated ones. The damage is certain. I've also had a few sets of wheels refurbed and never had a concern about heat fatigue failure. You can never say never, but what are the odds.... Lottery ticket anybody.
  15. I'll take left and right, wouldn't want to upset either side (Just to be fair).
  16. I had the same problem. It's the Bose amp, really odd. the amp does not like any other head unit. I binned my Bose head unit after 3 months from new and it screwed the power up and mine was fitted by so called professionals. In the end I junked the lot and went for new Head, amps, and speakers. Never looked back. Alpine flip out head, Alpine amps and sub. Hertz speakers. Good rounded sound with punch. No more skipping CD, no more farting bass and ipod connection with on screen control. It's the future......
  17. Have a word with Brian on the numbers above. Tell him the recommendation came from Daz at the 350 owner club and I'm sure he'll look after any members.
  18. Not yet Pal. Waiting for 2 front tyres.
  19. Thank God you posted that. I was thinking the clutch would be gone in 8K. Is that clutch made of cheese or are you going for an upgrade?
  20. UPDATE******* Here are some Hi-res pics of before and after. Still doesn't do the finish justice. Hope you likeeee.... If any body needs info, ring Brian at The Wheel Specialist. (See earlier post).
  21. Me too...... A present...., but love it.
