  2. Wasso this is a Pro Class dragster for use in, among other classes, the Japanese Drag Series. The rules of the class are that the car must have an engine block and cylinder head from a japanese production car. It must not have more than 6 cylinders and must retain the original valve train design.Project Zed fills this criteria. If you wanted to race a zee with a standard body etc you would race in the Street or Factory Modified class. There is considerably more standard parts in the engine of the Zed than you have intimated and of course what that means is that the R&D going into the delevopment of these motors on towards 2000 hp inevitably carries on towards the work done by Abbey Motorsport on customer cars, either standard or modified. Also the technicians that work on the drag car are the same people that work on customer cars and will move forward with the cutting edge technology that is used on this car
  3. Hi, we feel that if you add a Steering wheel with cruise control ( odr the cruise control part) and we upload the correct map to the ECU you can have cruise control; Can I have your chassis number please just to clairify the ECU No. please.
  4. Chris, I do not have any plan to be in Ireland in the near future. To bo 100% honest it will be better to have a trip to the UK , if you want me to come to Ireland to tune yu need to pay for my flights/travelling time and the dyno time at TDP minimum would be far cheaper to travel to the UK.   5. If your running stock exhaust I would just run full de-cat , it wont be to raspy , I have tuned a few cars running de-cats. Mark

  7. Will try to get some up very soon. The do need a refurb thou , rims are damage and corrosion on the spoke like's normal.
  8. We have a set of GT 350Z Rays wheels for sale , they need refurbing and have worn out tyres fitted Looking for £300-00 inc vat + shipping.

The reason the CEL come's on after fitting de-cats is the rear lambda's measure the exhaust gas , with Cats fitted the rear measurement will be a lot cleaner as it is normally measured after the Cat , removing the cats the rear measure is the same as the front lambda measure so the ECU thinks the Cat is working , it will throw a cat in-efficent code. Easily sortable with a Uprev.
  10. There are other systems that can reflash the stock ECU , but these are not set up to allow the car to be dyno tested, log the ecu parameters and remap via live mapping. The ECU maps are modified of site then with some soldiering to alloow communication the modified map to be uploaded. I might be biased but I doubt the tuning company will have the infomation the UK UPREV tuners have on your car. Also can the ECU be reflashed back to stock for any insurance/warranty issues. I think the software will be ECU Live or Bytebit tuning. Mark
  11. It wont reset itself , it will slow retune it self to the AFR's that are in the template AFR table in the ECU. Doing a manual reset will help this happen quickly, but from our knowledge on the 350Z tuning , you will have no issues running the car with the mods fitted before you get a remap, the car may feel a little sluggish mid range thou until you get the remap. cheers It wont be the plenum spacer making the car run lean, the HFC,s make the car runs lean before a remap.   13. Easiest and best fitting kit is the HKS supercharger kit , best to buy a tuner kit and use a fuel return system , uprated fuel pump , larger injectors and a Uprev remap of the stock ECU. The Vortech kit are cheaper but done fit as nice as a HKS kit , they are noisy when running and do like to wear belts out. If you require any quotes send me a email to mark@abbeymotorsport.co.uk We see around 380/400bhp with a HKS S/C kit on a DE 350Z fitted with a set of de-cats/exhaust system. Mark
  14. On a HR motor we get real good gains from new exhaust Milltek and either de-cat pipes or HFC's. Tuned a HR last week with just de-cats/Milltek and drop in filters , car left with 290 hub bhp where a stock HR car gives around 265 hub bhp , so we estimate this car has around 335 flywheel bhp. good gain in midrange torque as well. I would imagine a car fitted with HFC's would be around 5/10bhp down on the de-cat set up. Mark
  15. Chris.... I dont have any good maps for cars fitted with HFC's at the moment which is a shame. Looks like we will get our Berk's order in 10 or so days time so we can supply a full set up if you want and I am sure I will have a generic map for a car fitted with HFC,s by the time you want to buy.

  19. If we take the exhaust as the same looks like your Stillens gain around 6/7 bhp at the hubs. The Akrapovic is quiter than both the HKS Super Sound Master and the Stillen System so it may not flow quite as well.
  20. Chris, did you have HFC's fitted to your 370Z? Yes your car wasnt as rich on AFR before the Uprev remap so the larger dia maf tubes must work, but to be honest if your remapping anyway I wouldn't bother with these.
  21. Here is a dyno plot for a Auto 370Z we did last week. DARK BLUE dotted - stock at the hubs LIGHT BLUE slash/dotted _-akrapovic full system and HKS panel filters SOLID DARK BLUE - akrapovic full system HKS panel filters and Uprev remap fitting exhaust and panel filter gained 10 bhp and 5lb/ft at the top end from the stock car fitting exhaust/panel filter and remap with Uprev gained 22bhp and 11 lb/ft from the stock car

Had a 370Z in on Saturday to have a Akrapovic system fitted and a remap , had a poke around and I seem to have given everyone some wrong info, these cars only have 1 set of Catalytic convertors not 2 sets like I thought, the centre silencers which i thought where Cats are just resonated silencers.
  25. The cars are limited to 155mph in the ECU, we can remove the limter with a Re-Map thou. I havent worked out if the cars are like the Audi where as the car will be limited in top gear but not in the lower gear.
