  1. interested in the whole set up, Email me on mark@abbeymotorsport.co.uk with your best price. thanks
  2. Bad news I am afraid , there isn't enough space left in the Eprom to get the extra code for the ARC license/set up. So only way for you DE guys to have ARC items is to change over to a US DE wide band ECU The ECU number is 23710-CF000 you require, this will enable you gusy to have have multi maps and allow us to love tune the car when adding a Uprev tune.
  3. I need to give Uprev a call/email to see how they are getting on.
  4. Martin, just trying to work some numbers out. Did Jez lay your tuned dyno plot over a stock HR run on his dyno? Just that we see around a 20 bhp gain with the mid-range torque gain on a car with just bolt on,s so working this back your only seeing approx 15bhp gain above the bolts on? Would be good to see your lots over a stock car. Thanks
  5. I have been told last night that the developer @ Uprev is looking into the UK DE ECU at the moment so fingers crossed.
  6. Yes you are correct , you maybe better to go to Dynatune in Glasgow , sure Chris will look after you if you don't fancy a trip far south,
  7. Yes there is no support for DE car's yet with ARC add on's. Support has been released for the DE cars but not the UK DE cars yet but Uprev are working on trying to sort this out. Thanks
  8. Yes UK ECU is different as the imobilzer is upgraded on the UK ECU's but this takes space up in the EPROM. Uprev are working on getting the ARC code into the reduced space. If we use a US ECU on a U.K. Car you will lose the NATS. This will just lose the immobiliser the alarm will still work thou.
  9. Well update from Uprev last night , we now have ARC support on the JDM DE cars CD406/CD416 but still waiting for confirmation that UK DE cars can have the ARC add on's CD700/CD800. You do need cruise control to allow the launch control to work but flat foot shift will work without cruise control. Hopefully we will have some news very soon.
  10. Yes there is no support for DE car's yet with ARC add on's.
  11. Uprev have a US DE car but this is different to the UK DE(276bhp) ECU will chase them this week for an update. Regards Launch control , I disagree with just using fuel cut a good launch set up needs both fuel/ign cutting but the Uprev set up does only cut the fuel. Stock car if you hod the brake on is reduces throttle input adding burn out mode removes this.
  12. How do you have over 1,000 lbft of torque? That is hub torque , our Dynapack measure power/torque at the hubs, divide the hub torque by the drive ratio (4.631) to get a flywheel figure
  13. Well back and sorted after the IDC Rd1 @ Mondello Park last weekend. Good weekend few teething issues made it through to the TOP16 which was pretty awesome as the quality of the driver in Ireland is so good. We didn't make it through from the TOP16 had a gremlin shows its ugly head in the 1st run , which I have worked out to be a £5-00 connector , we are blown away with how well the VQ motor runs, Baggsy cant stop wanting to drive the car and make some smoke. Little video only for you guys on the Forum of the 2nd run in Qualifying. thanks
  14. I am away in Ireland for IDC Rd1. I do need to reply to George email which I will do on Monday. Thanks
  15. I have the video but it is in a MP4 configuration so I cant post it. Can someone do this for please? thanks
  16. LS why be like a sheep and we already have another drift car with a LS in and the Turbo VQ totally blows it away with BHP anf torque numbers. Looking forward to the figures compared to what the crate LSX engines are doing now We know what a LSX will give as we have one of those on Baggys other drift car.
  17. VK is to big and with a wide V angle doesn't fit in the PS13 bay very nicely. LS why be like a sheep and we already have another drift car with a LS in and the Turbo VQ totally blows it away with BHP anf torque numbers. The VQ is super light very compact and is a Nissan engine we work with heavily @ Abbey Motorsport so it was a good project to get involved with. We have these fitted in a number of different cars already in different specs. We have 51% front/49% front to rear weight distribution with this set up.
  18. We been building this car for sometime VQ35 powered drift car. VQ35 forged rods and pistons, dry sump set up , Owen Developments GT42/40 turbo ASNU injectors. Built for Steve "Baggys" Monster sponsored drifter. Made some big numbers on our in house Dynapack running on E85 , will post the plots up later. But it makes some major smoke we found out last week on our 1st run out. https://www.facebook...54347760971389/
  19. Yes we always change the valve stem seal when we rebuild the VQ's but it isn't the issue that causes the oil usage. Don't waste you money just changing valve stem seals as this wont cure the issue.
  20. This is Abbey Schedule; Pre lube the motor before start to ensure all the bearings have prior lubrication we use a pressurise oil system to pump the oil around. start the motor after initial build to check for leaks / bleed the cooling system. Onto the dyno , start up and run under light load to ensure Map is good enough to run some load , the run the motor under load say 3000 to 4000rpm. We check the Vacuum the motor is pulling when new the car will be run under different loads (no full throttle high loads) and keep checking the vacuum at idle , once you see the idle increase and settle down , you know the piston rings have bedded in. This can normally be done in 2 to 3 hours (40-60 miles) We don't believe cars need running in for a 1000 miles, modern machining leave a far better finish than engines built 30 years ago. bearings require very little running in maybe a couple of heat cycles Modern running in oil helps as well. We will drop this after 600/1000miles.
  21. newly built motor needs on synthetic oil (proper running oil is even better) engines need running in we prefer to do this on our in house dyno which allows us to control the running in period this will bed the rings in quickly this is the main thing for low oil usage. oil burning Zed motors isnt a valve stem issue every motor we have stripped have had the oil control ring worn out. The OP what was replaced when the motor was rebuilt? Zed
  22. no hassle with the ECU difference. Yes give me a ring on Tuesday to discuss.
  23. Fit a DE motor will run on your REV UP ecu
  24. Guys if we go with Open track I can sort a group buy on spaces and possibly free garages.
  25. I can sort a trackday out I am sure , I will speak to Dave @ Open Track and maybe get a group deal. Just sorting a date might be the issue. Any prefer track? We might bring the 350Z racer as well?
