They never rubbed with vredesteins they barely rubbed with pilot sports (similar to what you describe) they rub horrifically with pirelli prosso's tyres shape makes a big difference

You mean what is the offset, rim width, tyre width, rim size? Offset alone doesn't mean much 22 offset 10.5 wide 295 30 r19

well they are on the way but in the mean time i need to run a west midlands meet and can't do that with rubber being shaved off. Who'd have thought that pirelli prosso's are 2 inches wider that vredesteinUS's for the "same size".

i ran around testing roads for the next west mids run and ended up ruining my eyes like rubbing gravel in them. waiting for the piriton to take effect.

and if one of the bolts does shear on the cats while working on it, the removal of the remainders of that bolt could well ruin the cat... i say this from experience.

the track cutting is to help avoid noise, some have noise some don't, so if you don't then you didn't need to cut them

get a blow torch and heat it first. Make sure the socket you are using is firmly on before applying force.
