ok people, before i press the order button for some parts, whats the general consensus on colours? otherwise you lot get what your given

in the west midlands?? no its not its like 6 or 7 degrees or something. i was out working on the car in a tshirt my hero!! the wiring can be repaired if there is a water ingress problem. the damaged portion of the wire (which can travel a long way due to capillary action) can be cut out and replaced, aslo the metal contacts in the connector need replaced. however the cause of the problem still needs to be addressed whether it is the arch liner, the bulb cover or the bulb connector itself.

hmm could be water ingress. best bet is open up the lights, pull the connector out and look in to see if you can see and corrosion. Also check for abrasion of the wire anywhere, this will short things out leading to funny behaviour.

Stew is that bottle of "shloer" just that or will it have "additions" ;) Always have a very family based christmas and we have kept it just the same as when we were kids. We all take our xmas stockings down to breakfast and open them, taking turns. Then after that we all head upstairs to the tree where theres normally LOADS or pressies me and my brother pick a side each and start dishing them out, we are very civilised and take turns so we can see what we each get then they all get organised, a piccy taken for the album and then we do what we want for the rest of the day. usually get a game of scrabble in somewhere though then have xmas dinner later.

No i really didn't know this. Only mentioned it because thats what happened. Really thought once it starts it would be fine. well yeah it should be but dumping a big load on the alternator asking more from the engine before its sorted itself out might cause a hiccup. but could be new battery time as suggested yeah.
