although it will work it will affect your brake balance. this could lead to unwanted and unexpected behaviour under heavier braking. having much better fronts than backs isn't the end of the world, it's certainly better than the other way around. What you may find is the car feeling unbalanced under braking and you may need to alter your driving style with respect to this. here's an article on brake bias if you want to learn more http://dsr.racer.net/brake_bias.htm Losing traction on the front tires is not as bad as on the rear. You usually plow forward in in the original direction until the driver lightens up enough on the pedal to regain control. As a general rule, 60% of your braking capacity should be on the front tires. Whatever the percentage is for your particular car, the front tires should lock up slightly before the rear tires.

I LOVE these things!! if your not a complete dipstick you can get through a whole trolley without needing an assistant and can do it faster than waiting in the checkout queue. we had one out on night test a couple of ago on the fosse roads round my house, brilliant car handled them so well.

no it bugs the living s**t out of me too worse still, at work the other day I visited one of our other sites and needed to sign in at reception, she was laid back in the chair with a nail file in her hand talking on the headset, it was busy and i was in a hurry. She gave me a look and said into the headset "give me a minute I've got a boy looking lost here". It took everything not to reach over and rip her headset off along with her head. I'm used to getting asked if i'm a manger not a f**king boy! Utterly pathetic behaviour by people who don't know or simply lack the ability to act professionally She was ugly too, the b***ch

Good point - tyres weren't probably that warm to be honest and the outside temp was very low again. You're not happy if you're not sliding around anyway! My cars are always boys! although it's hard work on these fat tyres these days!

Ha had three weeks of this just completed my advance driving sector course -- One of the best bits of information I've got my full course/test coming up in the company vehicles, I belive it goes something like... instructor: "here is an XK for the next few days where are we going?" watch the vanishing point of the corner where the kerbs combine, if its going away from you get some power in, if it's coming closer expect the corner to tighten up. Such an effective tool to read the road tought by advanced driving course.
