  1. Imports don't have a 40 litre tank. It's 10 litres less than the UK model which is either 80 or 90 litres.... I can't remember! UK version has an 80 litres tank. So 70 sounds about right

    blackcircles discount?

Thanks guys. Will check with the garage to see what they can do.
  3. Hi all I read it's possible to get a 5% discount at blackcircles.com for forum members? Could anyone tell me how to get this? I'd highly appreciate it - looking for some new tyres. Cheers
  4. To be fair to the poor girl, the whole thing was rather poorly scripted - to me the "I'm a blonde, get me out of here" role play came out rather fake, which makes me think there may be more into it than meets the eye... but then again, it may be biased by those nice big......
  5. I must say as much as I try to wave back to other Zeds, often I'm too slow to do anything... so if you see a GM with a sleeping driver at the wheel and my wife in the other seat pointing "A Zed, a Zed!!!" that's me then
  6. +3 Same here - Rays are definitely styled for the Zed (the three dots pattern that's around several places in the car?) Anything else is a step backward, IMHO

    Fifth Gear

Just saw it - I wasn't overwhelmed by the depth of the review, but the car looked good. Plenty of praise for the ol'350z still
  8. Hi all I've noticed may other members here complaining about the handbrake on their Z... mine is quite weak too, just curious how strong should a normal handbrake be? On a regular pull mine won't hold the car on any kind of incline. If I pull hard all the way, it will hold on something up to 5%, say? Anything more is out of the question... I'm a bit worried about this obviously... I had to do a stop on a 20% climb once, and let me tell you, moving off without a proper handbrake on that incline was not fun. Does the handbrake adjusting procedure (listed here somewhere) help much with this?
  9. I'd think that in most cases thieves make the exact opposite assumption, and won't even think that doors may be unlocked, esp on such a car. They'd just break the glass, nick anything they can get their hand on and run...
  10. Interesting - any idea when?
  11. It'll be interesting to see if they'll bring the 370z on the show...
  12. I think there are quite a few things I could say about the interior layout and how things could be much better... but that's all In fact, the interior styling of the Z is one of the majors that sets it apart from other cars for sure
  13. I think anyone with that taste for colors should be legally banned from owning a Z. Ever. On all continents. And that's before even looking at those seats.
  14. There is some info (not sure how accurate, but pretty good from what I've seen) at Parker's website http://www.parkers.co.uk/cars/specs/Sum ... ?model=583
  15. Well, I started with the feeling this may be a wind-up, until I checked my old car's reg no and got a hit on the road just next to our flat I almost dropped the beer on the keyboard... But then I saw about a million people on Google got a hit on the same location so I kind of chilled a bit... Pretty good one I must admit
  16. I was afraid of that answer... Sadly getting to my folks would involve crossing a few borders so driving there for a car wash might be a bit of a stretch. Thanks Nixy for the offer, as much as I'd like the Z polished, the whole thing may be a bit much to impose... I guess I'll have to get by doing bits and bobs here and there. Or maybe get a house BTW, is it worth cleaning the inside of the alloys? Do you take the wheels off for that?
  17. Hi all I am getting terribly frustrated with finding a place where I can do a proper hand wash our Zed. Trouble is, we live in a flat and i can't do a proper job in the communal parking lot - for lots of reasons. So what can I do? I'm not happy either with the supermarket car washes or those hand car washing places where a bunch of guys finish your car in 2 minutes... There's nothing like doing it yourself - but where? The are some self-hand wash places around, where you get a pressure wash hose and a dirty broom with some kind of soap coming out of it... How is one to use it's own shampoo or wax there? I guess a pro valet would give the best results, but that's not something to afford on a regular basis... Well, enough ranting... anyone has the same problem? What do you do? Any suggestions appreciated...
  18. It does raise question marks, but it's not completely out of place - maybe the owner took a driving holiday in Europe or changed jobs to do 100 mile daily comutes? Can you get an idea who was the last owner and how likely that is? How long did the dealer had it for?
  19. 2k difference wouldn't be seen in the price, but as martin said, I would check the service history to make sure it adds up. Rattling in second gear doesn't sound good though. Is it only the second gear that does that? I'd be suspicious of that, could be something wrong with the gearbox? Make sure to get that checked, maybe with an alternative garage if the dealer does not play up? Your car should be in good condition when you buy, faulty gearbox is good reason to reject a car.
  20. Hi everyone I've been lurking for a while around the forum - time now for a proper intro. I'm a Zed-ohoolic for more than 6 months now Car's a 55 plate GT in GM with black leather and rays, barely 25k on the clock. Made quite a jump up from our previous mundane hatchback, but both wife and I couldn't get our minds off the Z when time came to switch. Nothing else we drove came even close to it. Anyway, here's some of the obligatory pics from a trip to Yorkshire a while back. Haven't done any mods to the car so far, and not really inclined to. But for sure I'll post a lot of dumb newbie questions around the forum... And hope to meet with some of you guys someday, those Z meets sound like a lot of fun
