  1. cheers guys, really unsure on the rear lights as to smoking em or maybe replacing em with the ones with the Z in leds. Yeah, facelift LED's are the way ahead.
  2. Good choice, brother. Once the perfect one comes along, you wont even ask opinion on here. You'll just buy it. I did and I frickin loves it!
  3. I managed to shift a set I bought before I realised the pre/post facelift thing for 20 squid-a-roo to another member.
  4. That's a really nice Zed. brother. I really like the colour. What's the asking price out of interest?
  5. +1 would be much better with the standard GT4 wheels Good find, bud. An alloy change should be your first mod imo. Not a fan.
  6. Welcome mate. Zed all the way. The boot's big enough, especially when you angle grind the rear strut out.
  7. I've only got 2. I have a useless coin holder in the pax side dash where others seem to have a flip out cup holder. And i've a face-lift. I feel a little robbed!!!
  8. Nah, don't agree, bud. Young chavy boy racers couldn't generally afford or find the insurance me thinks (or hope)! I also think due to the rareness of the Zed not many 'youngens' will think about one when they have the money to buy. Those with the money will go the way of the Scooby and Evo. I think the Zed will slip into the classic catagory quitely and generally miss the chav era. You never saw the 280 as being hammered around by the late 70's and 80's equivilent, it was always Capris, RS Turbos, Renault 5 GT Turbos, etc etc.
  9. There are some gems to be found on Youtube from the Collegehumor team. The animation vids are probably the funniest. Clock Suckers, etc. Worth a watch if you're bored. to list a few.
  10. It's a shame you had to sell up, bud. Especially after you found a nice replacement and found the interior you wanted. But hey, as you said, you'll find another once in a better position.
  11. +1 Sorry, I've got a snow flake in my eye
  12. Poor Husky. You would hurt the lil fella, Nixy. Just look at his wee face!
  13. Great work, Ho. I love seeing the transformation of a car from filthy and unloved to pretty much showroom condition.
  14. It's sad to see people ending their Zed adventure as I've just begun mine (back in May) and I can't imagine not having the Zed at the moment as I absolutely love it. But as was said, people buy, enjoy then move on. The next generation of Zed owner is purchasing and enjoying the experience; some of which probably couldn't have justified paying 30 grand when it was new (like me). So the car will continue to be bought, loved and sold as it depreciates over the years until it becomes a classic and the prices will no doubt gradually rise again through age / when the numbers of Zed's fall. Then we as the future older generation may buy one, remembering the experience in the first place. The Zed will come full circle for some, I reckon. Especially Nixy when she's 150! I predict I'll have mine for a few more years to come. When I'm finished with her, I may lock it away in the garage for later.
  15. Happy birthday, Nixy Patch. You're certainly a looker for a centurian!
  16. I've seen it before but it's still funny. Just seeing its wee head fall....
  17. Hi Danny, £100 will get you a lot of Megs OK this car I polished out the swirls so yes I "cut" the paint, well the clearcoat/laquer but only minute amounts need to be removed to get rid of swirls. If you had a DA polisher something like (blatant plug alert) http://www.envyvaleting.co.uk/products_info.asp?id=140 would be a safe bet for you and Nissan paint. If you wanted to "fill" as you have suggested then a coloured wax might help. A less labour intensive but totally safe option for by hand or machine application (blatant plug alert) would be http://www.envyvaleting.co.uk/products_info.asp?id=180 this product. Now I may sound biased but I saw this demo'd at Megs HQ earlier this year on an evo 8 and I can honestly say it knocked out 60% of the swirls on this car (and it was provided by an attendee of the course and not a megs staff car) and I was impressed for a product you can use by hand. The reason its safe is it uses nano particles so they dont need to be broken down like the polishes I use by machine for example on this BMW, they are small already so you cant do any damage. Just work the area, and then buff. If it needs more work repeat the process. Best wishes Tim Many thanks, Tim
  18. +1 (well, apart from the cuddly bit, anyway)
  19. Good ridance to that freak show. What's with Wolverine's fat brother on this series? Sh!te!
  20. I'm still relatively new to detailing and still learning. How do I get rid of the swerls? Does the product you use 'cut' the paint or build upon it to hide the swirls. I bought a £100 worth of Megs products a couple of weeks ago. I washed, Clay barred, Polished, Waxed, but still the swirls were beaming through it the sunlight and depressing the sh!t out of me! Any advice?
  21. I've already PM'd Mike about it. He thinks it's funny but doesn't want to promote spam.
  22. even worse it was me who posted it in the first place Didn't you repost this though, Mike?
