  1. Well, after a month of waiting my car is finally back on my drive. For those who don't know a month ago I crashed my zed after being cut up on a dual carriageway. I'm just sooo glad to get it back and drive a decent car instead of a Skoda Fabia 1.1 I've got to ask though, is the steering meant to be heavy and the gear change quite stiff?? Because I’ve been used to a Skoda where everything is light and doesn't feel connected to anything. So driving my zed home last night, it felt like a real effort to turn the wheel or change gear. Maybe I’m just out of practice!
  2. I rang up the DVLA and enquired about this. Mine is a 03 JDM registered in 2008. I'm still paying £400 a year tax. Is there no way round this at all?? Can we get the vehicle re-tested, new V5 or something??
  3. I'm after a set for my JDM. I just don't have any money until after xmas
  4. Skoda Fabia as a courtesy car!!!!!! its awful to drive I guess its better than nothing!
  5. Good news, the car is repairable and is now with the garage that will be dealing with it. They think so far without a full strip down, its just the wheel, hub, brake disc and suspension arm. They won't know if the suspension needs replacing until the rest is fixed and they can do a geometry test. Good news all round really. Plus I can get my courtesy car later this afternoon
  6. Initial reaction is to hit the brakes! As for it being a write off, i don't know as I don't fully understand the workings of rear wheel drive cars. Fingers crossed its not but you never know what you've damged!
  7. I didn't! I was facing the wrong way and he had gone by the time i got out of the car! I despise people like that!!
  8. Totally Devastated guys and girls!!! I’m ok though, no damage done to myself! I was coming off an island onto a dual carriage way. I was in the middle lane of the island heading to the outside lane of the carriageway. Car on my inside cut across me straight into the outside lane. I hit the brakes and steered the car inwards to avoid him, resulting in me being going into a spin and smashing into the curb. I was so lucky, could of hit a bollard and a crossing light, or a bus stop. Luckily I hit the curb in between the 2 obstacles!!! Rear drivers wheel took the full impact, doesn't look good though!! Bastard drove off without stopping to give details!!! Can’t really say how much damage was done but the back wheel is shot and angled downwards. Lower arm is intact and it looks like the hub is broken. Its with the insurance company now! I’m preparing myself for the worse!!!
  9. Thats cool m8, if it helps thats fine with me! I wonder if R35LEE can help??
  10. Whilst on the motorway this morning i must have lost the bolts at the front which holds the tray onto the front bumper, thus causing it to hit the floor and drag!! The tray is a mess and needs to be replaced.
  11. I have one as well if the above posters fall through!
  12. I thought about removing mine by myself, in the end drove it to my m8s garage. he had to use a blow torch on 3 of the nuts, even then they were stiff a job to get off!! After that my K1 was fitted under half hour!!!

    Headlights

m8 i also have this problem, looks like the dirt is on the inside of the plastic. Any ideas how to fix this would be greatly appreciated!!
  15. Can any1 tell me, is the K1 road legal without the baffles in??
  16. Too right it will be!!!! I had forgotten just how loud performance exhausts were. So glad I updated the audio before hand. Now i crank it up that bit further!!
  17. Just had my K1 fitted that I was able to get off ebay quite cheap!!! The difference in noise is unbelievable. Admittedly when I drove away from my m8s garage it had the baffles in to tone it down a bit. My god it sounded awesome!! Then decided I'd give it a couple of days with the baffles out!!! The noise level is incredible! Pretty sure my neighbours are going to complain when I go to work at 6am each morning Loving the exhaust!!!!
  18. Hi m8, From what i can gather, you can simply backup the virtual server file located on the host server. then restore it to another host server if required. We use Arcserve and simply backup these files daily. But backup exec should work just as well. Hope thats clear
  19. Gongratulations m8, i hope it all works out for you
  20. you need to contact a company like verisign who will sell you one and have it verified. I work for the NHS and have found Verisign to be expensive. Try instantssl.com and digicert.com
  21. R35Lee, already PM'd you today, i'll send you my number Its at Nissan and they're certain its the dials, i'm guessing they've run a diagnostics on it. If they're sayign its the clutser, how wrong could they be?? I'm in Birmingham m8, willing to travel to get this fixed!!!
  22. Thnaks for that, i've already pm'd them both. Just waiting for a reply.
  23. Basically my car is at nissan because the instrument dials are playing up, fuel, temp, revs and speedo. Currently a replacement set is £1200+vat, but becuase its a JDM they need to make sure that the chip used to convert the reading from KM to MPH isn't whats causing the problems! This is goign to be another £300+vat just to investigate this further I just want to know to try and cut costs down, where is the conversion chip lcoated on the car, ECU, engine bay etc??
  24. Does anybody know where it is located? Nissan currently want £300+vat to locate it and then probably more to troubleshoot a problem!!!
