  1. Received mine today, and fitted in about an hour, taking my time, and running in every now and then to check the guide Was pretty straight forward! One of my best mods I admit Thank you Dan
  2. Received my pack today... And all fitted to the car already! After familiarising myself with the guide, so i pretty much had it in my head what to do, i took the door apart in about 10 mins... I then exposed the looms i was dealing with, the ones that connect to the controls. I then spliced the black, white and turquoise wire, attaching the black, white and pink wire, as in the guide. I then cut the purple and grey wire and attached as shown on the guide......simples The tricky bit was mounting the micro switch. But was quickly overcome.... I just offered the door panel to the door, got some double sided foam tape (for number plates etc) and stuck the switch on while pressing the lock/unlock (its a good idea to attach the wires to the locking mechanism) this just makes sure, that when the vehicle is locked it presses the microswitch so therefore it folds the mirrors... Pretty easy job, and the guide helps a lot And im very happy with the mod Cheers Dan
  3. ha ha that would be your bluetooth kit for your stereo.... its made for nokia phones, but you can buy a bt adaptor for around £90 and you can connect any phone to your car for handsfree... the bt adaptor usually goes missing though.....
  4. I paid £160 for 5 glasses about a year ago from a place in Luton and you could choose the shades on each window ie rear 3 dark, 2 front light...

  7. As for bedding in The DS2500 dont need bedding in, as they are ready to go straight out the box (prebedded) However because you have new discs too, you will have to follow the bedding in precedure as in the guide above...
  8. You MUST wash the discs before any kind of braking Otherwise you will contaminate the pads, just make sue you get rid of the oily film on both sides You might beable to do it while they are on the car, as long as you can rotate the discs, and the pads arnt touching them, but ideally you may have to take the discs off. I used methylated spirits, white spirit and brake cleaner are all good you just need to get rid of the oily film, if the oily film then transferred onto your pads, you arnt getting the full use of your pads.
  9. I will have a look...... This is a link to one i bought... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... K:MEWAX:IT
  10. I love my fat datsun! Gt is better for reselling, you should get a 04 with 60k for around 9k or anything slightly either side of that id say....
  11. Its a vibe space sub with a vibe slick a7 amp I believe the sub to be single voice coil, though im not entirely sure, i bought it cos it comes in a shallow box so its all ported already and just has a positive and negative out the back....
  12. Basically I just bought a 4ohm 1000w RMS - 3000w Peak Subwoofer. I been told the ideal wattage is prob around 600w I then bought a 1300w mononblock amp Max power at 1ohm = 1300w RMS Power at 1ohm = 1x750w RMS Power at 2ohm = 1x600w RMS Power at 4ohm = 1x300w Now its in the car all wired up.... and its cool But I cant help but think it could be louder..... The amp has 2 lines of output - - + + For 4ohm you wire the sub to the - and + in the middle which i believe gives you 300w RMS (This is how it is set up now) For 2ohm i believe you swap the +'s which will give me 600wRMS (which is what my sub should be running) - - + + Now is this safe to do? Or will I blow something up?? Cheers for any advice Dan
  13. Ok here are mine Rears are et40 with 20mm spacer, (et20) with 285/35 Fronts are et20 with 245/35 Oh and be warned, tyres for 20" seem to jump up and awful lot from 18's or 19's I've refurbed the middles black now rather than gold.....
  14. Welcome to the club mate We trying to have a meet Easter Monday viewtopic.php?f=92&t=47279
  15. Amazing pics I too swear by Black hole Glaze, really makes a noticeable difference to a black car... So the wax.......even though you buffed it off, the car gets shinier as it cures? I never knew that? Every days a school day! Beautiful car too, I love 911's!
  16. Nahh looks like a suspended ceiling of an office It it a hole of a plenum spacer??? Or plenum?
  17. The very best octane booster despite their claims only increase the fuel by 2 octanes, at most.... (2 ron) Im also worried, that if you add this stuff regularly, would your ecu adjust itself, or would you nee dit remapped? therefore would it make any difference if the ecu wouldnt recognise it anyway.....
  18. I have also read about buying Methanol, and running a mixture of 10%?? Much cheaper than "brand" octane boosters and effectively the same thing?? This is all theory and discussion by the way, im not planning on doing this, but be nice to know if i wanted to i could, without risk of blowing my engine up or anything! ha ha You can buy ethanol in bulk off ebay apparently, and if you do have a mixture of 10% (1litre in every 10litres of fuel) your supposed to get better fuel economy, and in theory save money on fuel over a period of time... (its a bit like the old vegetable fat in diesel engines) Am i talking complete shite?!?! Im only regurgitating what i have read through google search on scooby forums, turbo forums etc etc Its just in this day and age, any kinda fuel saving would be fantastic, and and increase in performance is a bonus, just thought i would read it up.....
  19. Hey i would suggest hes just protecting your interests Just cos he drives an old ford van, he could have an aston martin parked up at home, and knows how you feel..... Dont always judge a book by its cover.... Hes prob scared of his car getting dings, so takes his old ford van to the supermarket instead...... and so was just offering some helpful advice... Thats how i see it anyway.....
  20. Its really not hard....... its about 3-4 screws, and a few covers that need manouvering... I tackled it last year just following the guides on here They are excellent... And save yourself a wedge load of cash that can go towards your new speakers!
  21. Yeah is ee something about iron x, turns it all purpley as it dissolves it...... I see it on detailing world too, maybe this is what you need.....
  22. I got a mate in MOD and he said it wont break out into War cos of our commitments in afghan.... we simply havnt got the resources to do so.... He reckon we will just enforce the no fly zone, by sending a few jets up, and he will back down..... I cant see that happening somehow, the guys a lunatic!
  23. Heres a link to a guide i found if anyone is interested..... http://www.fueltechexperts.com/2008/08/ ... h-is-best/
