  3. After having coilovers fitted and alignment done yesterday, my zed cut out whilst crawling along in traffic. It restarted and had the battery light flash on and off whilst limping home. I thought it was down to the battery so stuck it on charge last night, and set off to get it checked at a local tyre fitter today. Turns out that the battery tested fine, holds a charge ok, but the alternator is not charging it very well (the battery tester showed it right between warning/ok). The volt guage on the dash shows just over 12 volts before starting and when started rises to 14 volts, then it slowly drops to about 13.5 volts. I'm guessing from this that the alternator is actually working... I've checked and cleaned all the grounding points I can fine for the engine/alternator but it didn't seem to make any difference, one of the belts at the front of the engine is a bit squeeky at times, could a loose belt cause the alternator to only create a low voltage? Any help would be appreciated before I visit Nissan and bend over!
  4. It could be wax thats gotten into the indented ring on the sensor. My zed had been autogylmed to death when i bought it and one of the sensors beeped continuously uuntil I cleaned the excess out of the gap.
  5. carbonique? might sound a bit french though
  6. If you heat it up again after pushing it back together the original glue will hold it fine. I used silicone as I wanted to make doubley sure the light wouldn't get moisture in and fog up.
  7. I've seen this work pretty well on a few forums, as a subforum in Traders and the like. Just a place where you can post up your praise for good traders, forum sales, general helpfulness without cluttering up the For Sale and Traders forums. What do you reckon? Mike
  8. Ordered Eibach Pro Street Coilovers and camber kit yesterday at 3pm, and arrived this afternoon. CS offered lots of helpful advice and even helped me out with my Paypal numptiness! Top Service! Thanks CS

It is indeed, quite a dodgy area. I ended up with two Alice Cooper and Vicky Pollard lookalike 'working girls' offering to pose on my bonnet for cash... not bloody likely! Made for an interesting conversation with some rozzers who past by and wanted to know what I was upto with a camera, shiney car and a couple of prossies!

    Rota GTRs Pics

Finally got my arse in gear and found somewhere to take some decent(ish) photos of my Z with the new Rotas on... I'm seriously impressed with the graffitti bird, seems theres some talented people round here! As for the Rotas, top service from Ben at Rarerims, delivered next day and arrived in perfect condition. Very impressed so far by the toyos, but starting to think my Z is in need of lowering now. Thanks for looking, all opinions welcome! Mike (BTW see if anyone can notice the "less talented" graffiti in the 6th pic - swear I didnt notice! )
  14. sure is.....you have good local knowledge? where you based mate. Used to live just down the road in West Moors, but now living in Bournemouth near Littledown. Will hopefully be able to get along to the DJCS and say hello.
  15. Looking good Buster! Is that Tesco carpark in Ferndown?
  16. My Dad has got one on order. Looked good from the front as you say, but the rear arches don't look right. Performance did seem very good as a passenger (also a diesel auto) and a the interior really was rather fancy (or at least compared to my Zed) Not sure I'd have one, but the old man loves it.
  17. Well I'm definately in for a silver set Ben - please add me t the list
  18. I'm very interested in a set of silver Rotas with Toyos, what is the durability like on the polished lip? Any reported cases of corrosion setting in?
