  1. wut?!? 9.5J with an offset of 35 being too much?!?! Are these for a Zed? They would fit fine. They're for a maxima as he said grundy
  2. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/91051-depo-06-headlight-install/ If you can mod the light pattern shroud to RHD, these would be a viable option @ £300 delivered
  3. It's probably because I am fairly close to the wall. The UK light pattern has raises on the left whereas the LHD ones have raises on the right.
  4. Here's a pic of the cut-off and to be honest I don't think I'll be too worried that these are LHD Bulbs are 5000K High beam Since they are from the U.S., you'll have amber DRLs
  5. The lens is pointing the wrong way as the lights are made for LHD cars. Might have to adjust them down a bit. These have the same adjustment wheels as the OEM ones. Light output is at least as good as OEM from what I can see so far, maybe a tad better, will have to wait till it gets dark. the cut-off looks clean too
  6. Did a guide for those wanting to do this http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/91051-depo-06-headlight-install/
  7. I have forever wanted to get some 06+ bi-xenon headlights for my '04 Zed, but could never justify the price for OEM ones. When these popped up on eBay at around £300 delivered, I thought it was worth a shot. Came in a big box, two boxes inside Very well packaged First I raised the front using low rise ramps and a jack and then set about removing my lip and bumper (there is a guide on here somewhere for that) To remove the lights, you need to unscrew four bolts as indicated by the arrows below Then carefully lift the headlight and unplug from harness Repeat for the other side and you should be looking at this Once the headlight is out, remove the back cover and disconnect the ballast from the bulb, remember to unscrew the ground wire Then remove the ballast itself, there are three screws that hold it on, don't forget the seal also. With the ballast free, unclip and unscrew the wire connected to it. Put the ballast and it's harness to one side and pick up your Depo headlight unit. The Depos do not come with any bulbs or ballast, but all the wiring is in place. You need 3457A bulbs for the indicators, D2S bulbs for the main beam. You can reuse the W5W sidelight bulbs from your old lights or fit new ones. You need to remove the existing grounding point by unscrewing it Then attach the grounding wire you removed earlier Attach the ballast main connector and connect the ground wire to it Feed the wire to the opening where the ballast will mount Reattach the wire to the ballast and screw into place, don't forget the O-ring Offer the lights to where they need to go and re-connect the main harness and test that all lights work before putting everything back together. Then it's just a reversal of the removal and job done. Some before/after pics
  8. Fixed Can you please show me where in my post I said I was doing 80 on a public road? The fact that you are defending the statement confirms it
  9. I wasn't taking the **** or being sarcastic, I genuinely am wondering
  10. I don't know, but are 350Z and 370Z steering rack identical, as in length?
  11. Or you could be a romantic and SHARE the steak between the two of you
  12. It's an anniversary dinner, leave the carnivore feasts for another day and spend more time looking at the missus rather than the plate. To add cuteness you could try to emulate one of these for her http://themetapicture.com/ridiculously-eye-catching/
  13. What I mean is that I still knew where we were on the route, despite having no data connection. I understand the route having been downloaded and the route calculated et all, the only thing that still amazed me was that it knew where we were without any data connection or tracking. It knew how far we physically were from the next turn and stuff, which lead me to believe that there must be some kind of GPS connection.
  14. Inevitable Nah, was lazy and took what autocorrect threw at me that looked right
  15. He'll take it to the Zed Shed, there's a geezer there that loves cutting and welding all sorts of stuff Well if that's the case an he is going to be Richard Rawlings do I have to grow an amazing beard???????? But Chris, you're halfway there, you already have a donut assistant Marzman, it is G-Wagen, which is short for Gelände Wagen (German for Off-Road Vehicle)
  16. That's what surprised me tho, there was no data connection while we were on the go
  17. It still showed us correctly en route, so it has to locate you correctly.
  18. Actually, that's not quite correct Ekona. While in the US, the missus and I had a hire car and used our iPhones as SatNav without having 3G/4G (roaming data turned off), what we did was open up Google Maps App and entered our destination while on hotel lobby wi-fi. Then just started the route. As long as you don't make a wrong turn, it will get you there as it seems to run off GPS. I don't know the ins and outs of how it worked but it just did.
  19. Sounds promising, would give me an excuse to upgrade my old Pioneer F900BT. I guess it would negate the need for a HU with built in SatNav as you could just mirror Google Maps App from your iPhone
