  1. Yes, indeed and that is also why it is a legal requirement to have a first aid kit in your car, if the Polizei stop you and there is no kit, then they will fine you on the spot
  2. I like the fact that in Germany, you are required to take a First Aid test before you even do the theory and then move on to practical lessons. And the fact that you have to do a minimum number of night time driving lessons too
  3. Unfortunately our EU overlords have to cater for the vast multitude of people on the roads for whom sense is not common... Then they should leave their EU parliament building more often and see what the real world looks like. This kind of cotton wooling is what is halting human evolution, it actually promotes human retardation because people are put into a world where they don't have to think about dangers anymore, as it is lawfully eliminated.

There must be wheels with a rediculous deep lip that would fit the bill without the need for spacers. Don't most of the american stance scene boys run wheels like that?
  5. Drive with highbeams on at all time? That should keep you visible. Next thing you know there will be a directive enforcing cars to be painted a dayglow colour with a reflective strip going around the car. Common sense tells me that when I am near a road, there might be cars about, so I better pay attention.
  6. Yes, they mirror polish the lips and seal them afterwards. Main reason for choosing the refurb is due to the kerbing. At the moment they are doing an offer for two piece wheels for £200 for a set of four if they have less than 20 bolts per wheel, powdercoating centres is another £25 per wheel. So a minimum of £300 for a full refurb (this is what I seem to understand from their website anyways). Might have this done in the summer for mine
  7. I suppose I could, but.....................I have also kerbed them since too
  8. Remember when I was a little overzealous with wheel cleaner and stripped a top layer off my beloved Volks? If you don't quite remember here's a little reminder... At the time I searched and searched to see if anybody would be able to restore the lips to their former glory, but couldn't find anywhere that could do it, nor anybody that had worked their magic on Volk Wheels before. After doing a little searching recently, I had another look at the PureKLAS website, just to see if any advances were madr in wheel refurb technology. And to my suprise they had, and even better they even refurbed a set of Volk Split Rims http://www.pureklas.co.uk/past-work/vol ... urbishment I know what I am saving for next
  9. I think they are Iriduim plugs (well, I got NGK Iridiums in mine, lol) Magnetic sump plug can catch metal filings in the engine oil and replaces the usual sump plug / bolt, the one you remove to drain the oil from the engine
  10. might add a magnetic sump plug too?
  11. Congrats to whomever just won the eBay bid battle Tried a last second bid but failed, lol
  12. I had my alarm go off a lot once until I noticed a tiny insect inside fluttering about which triggered the alarm, once I shushed it out everything was fine. So perhaps over the winter months something may have gotten inside. Can't hurt to check, and yes it sounds totally silly
  13. Short term fix would be a Band Expander http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FM-Band-expander- ... 3a634a11d1
  14. You could get this to cut down your SIM card http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MICRO-SIM-CARD-CU ... 3364de133c
  15. Great pics Last pic looks like a promo for a future series of Knight Rider

Madmarky is running a widearch Veilside kit with 20"s EDIT: Sorry was mistaken, he's got the Veilside, but not the wide arch, but does have 20"'s
  17. You could make little flags with forum logo on them and mount them (might be a little confusing tho )
  18. TBH tho, there is a lot worse out there in the motoring world....
  19. Never actually measured it, so it's was a rough guess, so you could well be right
  20. I may be wrong on the flow side of things, but I am just basing my suggestion on my brothers Akrapovic full race exhaust on his bike, with comes with two end cans. One is titanium for road use and has baffles inside, while the race can is basically a straight thru pipe with a bit of baffleing material inside the can wall, you can hold it up and see straight thru the can and the inside diameter is like 2.5". Surely that should be enough, no?
  21. My bro and I went one further many many years ago when we were kids. Used drain pipe, put a rolled out metal scourer on the bottom end to stop the rocket falling out and then mounted the whole thing to cardboard boxes that were made to fit on your forearm Megatron style (yes this was in the 80's )
  22. You could go for like a Moto GP style can, since they are a little shorter, just see if you can see if any salvage yards have any bikes on without exhast damage, might save you some pennies that way
  23. You could do a TVR thing and get like a full Carbon Fibre silencer can off a motorbike exhaust, like an Akropovic Race Can
  24. If you can, when shopping for a new headunit, make the 6-disc changer a lesser priority and go for mp3 player / iPod connectivity instead.
  25. Cy Waits.....until everybody forgets his girlfriends sextape...
