Ideally yes - but a low mileage used one that (likely) hasn't been off the car may be okay...

Had the throttle body on/off a few times over the years for cleaning so looking for a fresh gasket.
Cheers

Just bought one too, didn't get the email alert! Ah well...

mate. Good one on getting a Zed! I lived in Nantwich for a few years and hoping to move back there at some point. Enjoy the car!

I've lost faith in Christmas too. Been asking santa for a vortech sc for 5 years now and the bastard still keeps sending me bottles of Pacco Rabanne...

Not had it mate but best place to start has gotta be lubing the pedal hinges

I think they wire into the handbrake so it can't be activated whilst moving. Or you could get a cool flip cover for it, etc..

Have a look here mate - looks like it can be done using a universal kit. I guess you can get more advanced ones so you don't need the key at all, but probably a more complex installation to ensure correct functionality.

Good spot! I guess these will pretty much become collectors items if they're not already. For the money, you could seriously pimp up a standard 350Z though!

I still want to know what that switch is really for. OP... you must buy this car and flick the switch! There a purple wire coming from the battery area - but doesn't appear to have DRLs fitted? Looks like there is some widget fitted below the front number plate. Cloaking device for speed cameras?
-
What is that extra little switch next to the gearstick for?
-
mate, good to have you on here

Can't see the value on a well maintined modern engine that uses premium fuel and is regulraly driven. It won't cause any harm though so if you really want to know, just put a bottle in and see if there is any improvement.

Looks like the trader website has just auto-filled the data according to the year of registration. So the info is incorrect but probably an honest mistake.
-
Ah okay, knew it was something to do with registration!
-
It could be an import. They can have plates registered as the year of import, I think?
Do you have a link?

That's a good testament to the VQ engine, hopefully I'll fare just as well!
-
Not been to L&G for a while as moved with work, but they used to do a discount for forum members too - worth checking!
-
Out of interest - what mileage are you on mate?
72000
I'm double that so we'll see how I get on! Similar set up though

For what it's worth, I'm approaching 145,000 miles and had no major issues mate.
thats a bonus, and helps widen the search, seen some for sale at 110-130k and that put me off a little.
That's not to say I haven't had to spend any money caring for it though! There are a few threads on high mileage, but I'd say watch out for worn bushes (front banana arm and differential in particular), which can of course be replaced but it's not an easy job on your own. Check for any advisories on the MOT sheets, etc... Ask what fuel it has been run on (should be premium fuel for correct combustion). But overall, other than general advice, I don't think there are many issues specific to the 350Z to be concerned about.

If you mean the short one then best bet is stick 'j bolt' or 'hook bolt' into Google - you be able to get one than fits fairly cheaply.
