How long are we talking of life span with the normal ones? Car is lowered on eibach springs so guess this puts more strain on them? Is there anything else I need when ordering them?

standard drop links. Is eBay good enough or do I need to look elsewhere? Just want standard ones for the rear as my drivers side seems shot. Cheers for any help.

Lol. I don't mean up solid curbs just the ramp ones to park half on curb half on road. I think trying grease is a good idea. Which one will be best for that kind of application?????

Cheers for the link mate. So you lot reckon this should be the cause of noise? Someone said above about 'clunking' but mine is definitely not clunking.. It is creaking. If I go up a curb slowly it will gradually creak depending how fast I am moving, no sudden clunk or anything. You guys still think it's my drop links??

Thanks Zmanalex - PM about to be sent. I would like improved braking (not trackdays though) but my main concern is that i MOPST DEFINITELY do not want ANY risk of brake squel which is what i have experienced on other cars with uprated brakes, hence my reasons for asking for standard brembo ones - although i do have redstuff ebc pads in at the minute i think but they seem to work fine and quietly too.

Thanks for all the responses guys. What exactly are the "drop links" I am useless with cars.. I will disconnect if i know what they are (anyone got a pic to show me? or a guide?) I have got the car lowered on Eibachs with spacers too and i have had something replaced in the rear suspension by Cougar Store about a year ago (so they could sort tracking properly) - it is a small bar each side with a bend in it also made by eibach if this helps??

hey there all Need to get some new brakes on the beast shortly I think. Just wondering if anyone knows the cheapest place to source standard brembo discs and pads so I can replace myself??? Any help appreciated

I have a creaking noise coming from the offside rear suspension, most noticeable when I go over bumps slowly whilst turning or parking up on a curb etc. It's rather quite annoying. I am told by a mechanic mate that visited me recently (he didn't have time to look at it) that it is definitely warn bushes making the noise so therefore I am pretty convinced as he has 40 odd years experience with mechanics. Questions is, does anyone know the easiest way to firstly diagnose the problem. Secondly, the cheapest and easiest option (I am presuming if one side if fooked then I may as well sort the other at the same time). Thirdly, where would be the most competent but also cheapest place I could go local to me to get it looked and or sorted... I am in Northampton. Frothily, is it a possible DIY??? The red bukll x1 is loosly based around an f1 car, but looks like a kind of le mans type thing. Apparently it weighs about 600kgs and has around 1500bhp Have a look on youtube. Sebastian vettel is driving it around the nurburgring. Dont know how to get it though....

I have got eibach springs, lowered 30mm and have 25mm spacers back and 20mm spacers front on standard rims. I do have to be careful on speedbumps. Those ones in the middle of the road cant be "staddled" anymore for risk of a bit of scraping underneath. Other than that no probs - dont park right up to curbs when parking forward etc etc. IMO it handles great, looks like it should have come from the factory like that. I dont have any tyre wear issues but I do have the rear camber arms though. I am led to beloeive the fronts are not overly necessary. Cheers Chris

Hi there i have for sale an original D1 spec throttle controller. Excellent condition and fully functioning. I fitted mine in the ashtray and it sits in there sweetly and discreetly. (a couple of months old) , unplugged this week and think i prefer the standard mode again now so am selling this. £80 inc p&p. Any Q's please email. Thanks Chris

Cheers guys will do. I unplugged the throttle controller thing before i reset the CEL so if it doesnt come back i will presume it was me fudging about with the wires.... I will update tomorrow........
