+1 a hell of a lot of work to get a rough cast standard plenum polished, they look fantastic when done correctly While its obvious id like to sell these to people, i have to say that does look very good indeed!

I think what i need to do is get mine polished then upload some pics so people can see exactly what they are getting for their money. I'd also like to add i will be prepared to post the polished plenums off before i receive the exhange item but i will need some sort of deposit to ensure im not "tucked up"

I want to get my plenum polished, i was wondering if anyone else would be interested in getting them done? I was thinking of polishing them on an exchange basis with the cost being £100 including postage back to you. I'm going to have to get a few plenums polished to start me off thats why i wanted to see if there was any interest before i started buying some spare plenums. Should also add i can get other items polished relatively cheap if anyone has anything they need doing. The way it will work is as following, you pay me for the polished plenum i post it to you. you then replace your existing plenum and post the old one back to me. Obviously there is some risk involved for me as i'll be sending the polished plenum without receiving the old one so i may ask for a deposit which will be refunded as soon as i get the exchange plenum from you. Ian has kindly agreed to lend me his plenum so that i can get mine polished. I'm going to look into polishing other members plenums on an exchange basis but i am going to need one or two to get polished to start me off. I've seen up to episode 7 and it keeps getting better. It is a very different war to BOB, where we were used to sein open fields of battle here is is all mountainside stuff and beaches. 6&7 have been the best two episodes for me so far and the preview for 8 looks even better!

Im not 100% on this but im pretty sure up to 06 they were 16mm but 06 on they are 22mm. Best to measure the thread on your towing eye to be sure though, as you may have an early car but if the slam panel has been replaced then you may have a different thread size

Hope you dont take this the wrong way,but the gap between the bonnet and the front bumper needs adjusting!

They are simple to fit and the dash comes apart very easily. there arent really any clips to break!

Spotted a sunset heading toward bristol on the M4 West this afternoon, i was on the opposite side of the road in the fast lane, spotted you quite late, but dont know if you saw me.

used to run an Apexi filter on my last car and have nothing but good things to say about them. there is a comparison about it is a bit out of date now but the Apexi does come out on top. I used to get mine off ebay for about 40 quid I think they even do a chrome version! nath.

Mine is the same with the white showing through between the A/C controls. Still waiting on my carbon interior parts.

Thought i would make people aware of this, if your having some rear nismo spats fitted make sure you either get the body shop to drill a hole for access or trim the inner part of the nismo spat. When removing the rear bumper there is a 10mm nut at each side of the bumper that needs removing as i found out when taking off my bumper to fix my parking sensors. The nut was completely obscured on my car and i had to get the hacksaw, stanley knife and pliers out to remove part of the spat. Oh and also dont get glass fibre in your eye it is ever so slighly irritating!

I have the system is its case now, i decided to go for something a little larger than first planned mainly for cooling. I bought a Compucase 8k07 which comes with a power supply. i wont be using thispower supply in the car but it is usefull at the moment for keeping things tidy, i will be replacing it with the M2 ATX sutomotive power supply listed earlier in this thread. That is the case, it fits nicely in the glovebox with the front of it pointing toward the passenger seat with plenty of room left over. I know i may ger some over this but i will be mounting the case into the glovebox using velcro. A lot of people on the car pc forums use this and they said it is the best way of securing the computer while ensuring it can be removed easily. I will be mounting the case on some foar them velcro the foam into the glove box. I have also been spending the last few days stripping back windows of unwanted services and overclocking the processor. Overclocking basically is making the chip run faster than it was intended to from the factory (for the non geek types:P). I was very happy with what i managed to get out of the system. As standard the is a dual core and runs at 1.6ghz but i have got it working at 2.15ghz without any problems so i am very happy. It has made a noticable difference in the boot time and also the general running of the machine so all is good The windows experience rating thing there isnt much use really, but before i started fiddling i was getting a cpu score of about 3.2 now it is up to 3.8. I'm not going to be able to do much now untill i get back to work and setup the OBD2 scanner. but then it will be till next month to buy the power and monitor. I may start routing the cables into the car we shall see. Nath.

I have a plate holder available that will give an almost identical look for £25 delivered. I have them for uk size plates but can get them made for jap ones.
