cheers chaps, with air ride do I presume you mean air suspension? If so then not overly keen on going this way. With regards to the practicality of it the car is purely only a toy and is barely used so not overly fussed!! Ian - what do you mean by coilovers (stance GR)?! When you say wide what sort of width am I looking at and what tyres? I will tackle the US forums tomorrow but want to have a bit of knowledge behind me!!!

Well its looking like i'll be coming back into Z ownership very soon after regrettably selling my last one. I'd like to achieve this time a look that the yanks seem to do so well, but unsure what the best route to go suspension wise would be. I presume coilovers is the way for this but what else would be required to produce the kind of stance like the ones in the below pics? Wheels wise I will be buying some 18's or 19's, some love it some hate it but I do like the stretched tyre route so will be going this route. The car will never see a track so purely for road/street use. Any advice on what direction to go would be great. Thanks Chris

That colour does look nice, what wheels are on that pic at the top? Chris

Hi all, as we all know doors / bonnet / bumper etc all have the plasticy barcode sticker things which hopefully shows their originality, my question is does the rear bumper have one? If so where?!! Cheers Chris

Who's does that black one belong to on my350? I love the stance of it and i'm not a sticky outty wheel lover at all!!!! Chris

Ive just put an offer in on a 6 series beemer but if it falls through (should know by the weekend) then i'll be in touch. Fancy coming back to the 350Z fold and this one looks lovely! Chris

Nah not a 370, only want to spend what i got for the truck!!
-
Now sold!! 350z time(again!!?)!

Matt - I dont land back in the UK until late Sunday night but am around the following weekend if your free? R35Lee - indeed mate not the best thing to drive if you dont like putting fuel in it, on the other hand on a long run its not actually tooo bad. Not as good as my old Z was but wouldnt say its any worse than an M3 / M5.
-
Very true they look small but in fact they are 10" x 18"!!!! Shows how big the truck it!! Nurrish - i'll get some interior pics at the weekend, im working in Switzlerland this week! Chris

Sold my 350z to buy one of these as i've always wanted one. Now i've had it I need to go to something a little more practical! Spec is as follows: F150 Lightning 2003 – Facelift 03 plate (380hp) 5.4 V8 Supercharged 28000 miles (Canadian import so reads in kmh and mph) MOT until May 2010 Clearcoat Red Bodywork has no dings / dents / scratches or anything over it – immaculate Interior is mint, no bolster wear and everything works as it should Air Con Cruise Keyless entry Tilt Steering Wheel Alcantara / Leather interior Electric seat In Dash 6 CD Changer Completely standard bar a set of the earlier spec rear lights – original clears can be fitted if preferred. Ford Load Liner 2 sets of keys All DVLA docs etc All tyres are have loads of tread Brake Pads need changing fairly soon so will supply a set of brand new ones. Oil was changed about 1000 miles ago. The truck is awesome and has been faultless since buying it, starts on the button and drives lovely as you’d expect. As I’m sure you will know that these are a hoot to drive, 380hp, rwd, tons of torque and a real head turner!! Fuel wise is not much worse than most performance cars, all depends how heavy your foot is. Looking for £13,500 ono for her Here are a few pics, will take some more once the weather sorts itself out!! Email me on chris.foster@sc.com or pm me. Cheers Chris

As above found it in the garage as i sold my Z with a smaller plate on. Its a UK (standard wide one) plastic number plate surround holder thingy. Dunno whats its worth but any offer will be taken before it gets chucked! Postage will be about a fiver I reckon. Chris

Simon - yes mate pretty light at the back compared with the front!! 2nd / 3rd wheelspins in the dry are possible, in the wet not wheelspinning is just about possible!! Great fun though!!
-
Nah wont be using it for work as i commute into the City, to be honest it will just sit there for most of the time like the Z did!! Just bought the missus a new Beetle V5 which i imagine we'll use to potter about it!! Definitely worth considering and dont let the LHD put you off!! Insurance is £50 cheaper than the Z but it uses a hell of a lot more fuel, even driving sensibly!!!!
-
Danny - definitely a random choice but always wanted one so just thought fook it!!!! marzman - exactly the same, it was the first fast and furious that made me want one!!!!! Lucky to find a facelift model to Paul Walkers (slightly more hp!). Price wise it was just a bit more than what I sold my Z for. Left hand drive is definitely more difficult but i'm getting used to it fairly quickly now, problem is the truck is 6foot 6" wide so another problem is tight gaps!! Being high up is great though and surprises most drivers, especially the cocky sales rep Audi drivers that think their company A4's are fast!!!! Chris

Quite gutted after selling my Z but glad to see it has gone to another forum member who I know will look after it!!! Decided to bite the bullet and by myself a yank pickup truck!!! Something i've wanted for about 12 years and when this came up I couldnt resist. She's an F150 Lightning on an 03 plate with 26k on it. Truck is absolutely mint!! I cant really compare the truck against the Z really as they are sooo different to drive. The Z was more luxurious inside and had more goodies, after all this is just a ford truck. Performance wise, in a straight line the truck would definitely be quicker up to 3 figures but reckon the Z would catch up around then. Handling wise hard to tell, the trucks are meant to be superb but very tail happy. Cant see it handling better than the Z though to be honest although F150 enthusiasts may say differenet (im just honest!!!!) Couple of pics of her below. The thing is massive, as a guide the front tyres are the same width as the back tyres on a Z!! (rear tyres are 295/45/18!) Chris
