It appears that this is not working for internet explorer users - can anyone back up my testing and state if this feature is working or not under IE? Also I have had reports of the forum not displaying correctly when you are not logged in. I cannot replicate this however, can anyone else spot any errors when viewing the forum without logging in?

Actually - a pictur on the site: http://sokaisha.hp.infoseek.co.jp/030923/030923.htm States that he died 26th sept 2003. I just spent a good ten minutes looking at all the pictures thinking how much fun he must have had with that rabbit, and how much h must have loved that little thing - then I got to that one and found out it died 3 years ago, and I almost cried! God I must be turning into a woman. -
It is done.... So? What do people think? I could make it optional based on template if people dont like it. i.e. if you want it, you have to set your template as "350z-uk with preview popups" or such like?

You may be about to.

Can I make a suggestion in the suggestions forum. Anyone making a suggestion, can they include a poll too - with "I would like this implementing" and "I would NOT like this implementing" and "Im not bothered either way". That way, everyone can add to the overall opinion without needing to post up... Ill ammend the first post in this thread.

Can anyone explain this?? -
From a news article back in 2001...... And the car this copper was driving when he acheived an even faster speed? A vauxhall Vectra GSI. Which would you rather crash in at that speed? Is there any wonder that the public can't abide the police when it comes to traffic policing, and would rather lend a match to those burning speed cameras than report them for vandalism. We are told time and time again, and have the message of "speed kills" rammed down our throats. Yet this chap got off first time around for being the "creme de la creme" of police drivers.. And? Is anyone elses driving ability used when deciding on whether to prosecute after setting a camera off?

Dont ask. I still dont get it. -
My advice would be to take it to the dealer. If you try taking it to bits and cant fix it, if the dealer sees you have "had a go", they could wriggle out of doing the work. Although I know what you mean about a quick fix. Id rather try and fix things myself first before letting stranger loose with a screwdriver inside my car.

Ah yes - that reminds me - the bunny & pancake smiley is on the to do list... You know I really must write this "to do" list down! -
This is how I beleive it works.... If your odometer reading when the car was converted was 8500 - this was KM. Therefor 5281 miles. From this point onward it clocks up in miles, so... 14500 minus the original 8500 equals 6000. These 6000 are actual miles. The first 8500 are km, (5281 miles). So your true mileage = 5281 + 6000 = 11281.

Mark all read on unread posts page
Chesterfield replied to Rob_Quads's topic in Site Suggestions & Feedback
Just another update on this one - Ive just made some improvements to this code. Previously (after my brute force code above) the "Mark all forums read" option was available on any set of serach results. i.e. if you serached for engine bay, and you had 12 results, some of which were unread - the option to mark all forums read was visible - some people may have clicked this believing it would only mark those results as read, when in actual fact it would mark ALL forums read - regardless of whether they were in your set of search results of not. The changes I have just made now only makes the "mark all forums read" option visible when you have clicked "view unread posts" - therefore showing ALL your unread posts. When conducting a normal search, this option will not be available at the top of the results in order to avoid people accidentaly marking all their unread items as read. -
Sadly - I think he will "get off" too. Probably a stern rollocking from the Cheif and a demotion away from traffic, but that will be the end of it. As far as I am aware, police cars arent allowed to break the speed limits without having their flashing lights on at least? The number of cop cars Ive followed that have been doing well over the speed limit is quite staggering. Ive seen many do anything up to 40 in a 30.

He daren't jack it in, in fact theres more chance of having a pee in the queens handbag than Val leaving! You should have seen the feathers fly when we were messing around with the site security and I "accidentaly" removed Vals admin rights. -
That sounds like a great Idea - no problem in posting up in th news section if a members car goes missing, or indeed if there are any scams we should be aware of. There certainly seems to be a few Z scams on Ebay at the moment! I hope your car turns up and thats its in a decent state. I had a car nicked once, and looking back Im glad they gutted it, as I dont think it would have ever been the same, knowing it had been stolen. Hope it gets sorted quickly for you.

The big surprise is being worked on by the fat lazy man Just he had a little too much to do over the weekend to spend the time trying to finish it! I know, Im a let down.... trust me though its still coming, and it will be great. -
Good point, but it seems a little bit of a hastle just to stop the gear knob getting hot - plus the roadster owners would have to put the roof up too. Maybe the plastic top off a deodorant can or something would do the trick?
-
Tim - the one concern I have over the all metal gear knobs, is that in the sun they will get very hot. I have an all metal, or mostly metal one in the golf, and it gets red hot during the summer, so much so that I blast the aircon onto it for the first 10 minutes of th drive home after it being parked up at work all day. I take it from your previous post you have had this issue in the Z with this knob fitted?

Who you calling old timer! LOL - Im still in my youth! Though the belly could do with a little work! You know that advert for Expedia.. The one with the voice at the end singing "Let yourself go....". Well every time it comes on I just sit back in my chair, look at my belly and say "yes... yes I have.." The missus found it funny first time, but then progressed onto sarcastic smiles, and then the throwing of soft furnishings. -

Ruddy Ell! Another thread to catch up on! Ive been busy all weekend, just logged on and Ive got 70+ topics to read! My god its busy in here! -
Personaly I dont read the spotted on ebay threads, but thats because Im a bit skint at present. You could just visit the spotted on ebay section and mark all the threads read - that way they are removed from your Unread posts menu. Its just a matter of using the various links to remove the sections that you may not be interested in. The spotted on ebay topics are prety useful I think, just not for those of us that are skint

Well - in part yes. I have to wonder what Nissan hope to acheive with this. I for one will certainly not buy a New or nearly new model again, whats the point if they are going to outdate and devalue them within a year?
-
It was one thing releasing the 06 roadster less thana year after the release of the 05 in the UK, but a new engine less than a year after the 06? That's two updates in less than two years. Most other manufacturers give you at least couple of years before outdating your product with a new model. The 06 owners must be pretty pi$$ed off right about now. Nissan certainly know how to alienate a customer base, and a customer base thathas purchased the flagship model non the less.
