  1. This place does single day, long weekend and full week hire. Mileage is 100, 300 and 500 respectively. But theycharge through the nose for any excess miles (£2 per mile) and the hire isn't cheap either... £2200 for a long weekend with a 360 spyder.
  2. Ive read that Shell high octane fuel has always been known as V-Power in europe - and it ranges between 97-100 RON. Wein the UK are just getting a name change (plus no doubt a price hike along with the rebrand). Think Ill stick to the Tesco 99 for now though.
  3. locked as it was accidentaly posted twice.
  4. I lookedat this some time ago too, but the rates are just ridiculous. Mind you, if they weren't, they would be open to any tom dick or harry taking a Ferrari out and pottentially smashing it.
  5. We can decativate an account but not delete it. Well, an accound can be deleted, but it will remove all posts by that account, which can leave threads looking disjointed. As other have said, if you no longer feel this forum is suitable for your needs, then I would advise simply not logging on. It is a shame that you feel this way, and I would assume it is not something that in your view has happened overnight. To that end, this suggestions area is here for a reason, and as we have said before the team running the site have never done this before, so any suggestions or ideas on how things can be improved for all or for individuals would be welcomed if people feel things are not right. I do hope you would reconsider, and perhaps help us put right the isues you feel need adressing, but if not, if in the future you feel you want to take part again, please do not hesitate to do so, if you need your account reseting at that time just let us know.
  6. If I recall the figures for the number of GT4's are: 100 black and 76 in UY. Given that the number of Z's sold is relatively low, and the number of Convertible Z's is even lower. Then if the number of convertible Z's is broken down into colour, then it may well be the case that the an Azure roadster, or maybe even Red roadster, would be lower than the 76 UY GT4's. I think all the yellow banter is tongue in cheek to be honest, its quite a nice colour. But Ive promised myself that the first Yellow car I own will be a lamborghini. (but Ill probably be grey or bald by the time Ive saved up!)
  7. As Ive said Liam, if you think there is a better way of dealing with issues, or you think mods let things get out of hand, why not make a suggestion on how this could be improved? I dont know - we let things get out of hand one day, and then another when we put an end to threads being derailed we are being accused of censorship. Its a tightrope I tell thee!
  8. I can see this costing Mazda a fortune.. It will probably be some time before we see the return of the rotary basedon this. Surely this has to be running into the multi millions.
  9. Thats the spirit! Anyway, I do appreciate that when arguments start, its always hard not to respond. I have most certainly been guilty of that. And I should have known better too, but as you say its very difficult not to respond when personal arguments start. We are all only human after all. Perhaps if another moderator had been around at the time it wouldnt have got that far, as one of us could have stoped the thread before either side said things they probably now regret? Maybe its a sign that we are understaffed? "moderator of highly active forum required, no perks available, no money paid, long hours required" Do you think the jobcentre would be interested?
  10. Guys..... (long post again - sorry ) I have to say from where I stand it was six of one and half a dozen of the other. Knowing next nothing about your mods to the car Baptist, I can't really see where the thread went from general banter to verging on mickey taking out of each other. I can however see where personal insults started flying though, and from my point of view the thread should have been locked at that point, or at least both parties should have taken a step back to sort it out - we do have PM functions if people feel the need to have personal arguments via the board. If a discussion or debate is locked simply because a moderator is losing ground, then yes that would constitute censorship, and it should not happen. Though I doubt many could class that particular topic as a "discussion or debate". It turned very quickly into nothing but a slanging match. We do pride ourselves here on allowing free speech and letting posts stand. There have been a small number of posts deleted here, the majority from the testing area, and a minority from one or two threads that went so far off topic, the original question or theme was lost entirely, causing members to have to repost or start their thread all over again. We have taken measures to try and prevent this, and so far it seems to be working. Therefor the need for any other post deletion should only be for legal reasons or if we receive specific complaints from members regarding certain postings. On a slightly different note, I thought the site did note when mods/admins edited their own posts - Ill look into that, as you are correct Liam, it should act in the same way for everyone. Is it possible that this particular argument can be concluded via PM if necessary? No problem in discussing censorship or ways in which people think we can deal with personal arguments on the site in future, not necesarily involving mods, but in general. The moderators and admins for the site dont carry any "rank" on the site - they simply have the job of trying to keep things in order. I think its fair to say that none of the current crew have ever done it before either - so we are all bound to make mistakes from time to time, if people want to suggest different methods of approaching various issues, then please speak up. I for one would be interested in learning others views, as I seem to make a hash of it every now and then.
  11. What a complete and utter joke. As predicted - one rule for one, one rule for another. So we humble jo public can be done for doing 36 in a 30, but 159 on the motorway and 90 in a 30 is OK! Another nail in the coffin for public confidence in the police.
  12. Or running from the massive bee that had flown into the garage behind him.
  13. Im not surprised... I wouldn't have wanted to purchse a car that colur in a public area either. So we cant even contact a dealer to back up your story that this car exists.
  14. In my experience it is a bit of a lottery, and it is the same with all marques. We used to own a mazda MX-5, and that was notorious for the door locks freezing up in winter. One day when we were experiencing this issue we called up the Mazda dealer that used to be in Sheffield, and they agreed to take a look. Anyway - the drivers lock was still frozen when we got there. They gave us a call a few hours later to say the car was ready. When we asked what was the problem they said they didnt know - it just defrosted in their workshop. We got back to the car and the drivers door card was hanging off by about half an inch, you could see into the door! When I pointed this out to the service manager, he questioned one of the spanner monkeys in the back, who said "it was like that when it came in". To say I chewed the guy a new arse would be an understatement. You get the same from all sorts of dealerships for all sorts of marques. It would appear that manufacturers are not so much bothered about quality service anymore - they just want to shift cars, they dont seem to care after that point. Some dealerships certainly do seem to value customer service, and it shows. My advice would be to find a dealer with a better attitude, even if it is a little out of your way, it will be worth it in terms of service and stress.
  15. Yes but your yellow is much nicer than Sarnies yellow. His is just a photoshop picture, nobody has ever seen his car in real life. I reckon its a toy - I can even make out a McDonalds logo in his signature pic.....
  16. Yup. No finance here! lol But at least getting out in the countryside and experiencing the views to behold in our own country shows some imagination. People asking for ideas on what to do for an aniversary? Now wheres their imagination? Probably went out the window at the same time as their taste in colour.....
  17. I do wonder who the first person was that ever wanted a car in yellow... Baby sick, baby poo, birds eye custard, and girly buttercups. All yellow. Everyone knows that the ONLY car that is allowed to look right in yellow is a Lamborghini. PS - the reason we were all off last night was that the last few weeks work of having to clear up mess after mess created by the handbag brandishers who like nothing more than to hijack anyones perfectly fine topic on here has finally caught up with us and we were all knackered. I know you must have some bottled up anger having finally realised that the salesman did a right number on you pursuading you to go for yellow, but Im sure in time you'll learn to live with it....
  18. I bet you cant wipe the smile off your face! I know I couldn't the day we picked ours up. Crappy weather, but Im sure you will still be having fun!
  19. Only if unshine and beer are involved. However - pictures like this do not inspire me....
  20. Yay! Camping cancelled! Beers and a movie instead. Sounds much better.
  21. Whats everyone up to? The missus has me roped into a camping weekend with our friends. Luckily Ian (the other bloke roped in) has an injury, so we have escaped the hill walking. Just a trek to the local town for a pub lunch and some beers.
  22. Ive tested it on IE at home and its working fine. Must be the security settings at work. Pesky domain policy. Now I wonder who put that in place at work...
  23. The only thing I dont like is the shopping list down the side. Never been a fan of that style of stickering. Other than that it looks a nice car.
