  2. Yeah @Tarmac@TarmacSportz in Derby is the go to place near you @buster is a zed legend 👍🏻
  3. Yeez, has it really been 4 years since I updated this ! Well I’ve still got the old girl ! and have enjoyed plenty of meets, drive outs and a couple of road trips too. which have included a European trip through France, Austria, Switzerland and Germany and last year the NC500, where she never missed a beat ! and other than the usual servicing and MOT’s has been trouble free. Though before I did the NC500 @buster @Tarmac@TarmacSportz replaced the original banana arms which years ago I’d had the bushes replaced for super pro ones, but the ball joints had gone this time and was knocking. Bob recommended the MOOG replacements, so I went with those. Also whilst the zed was up in the air had the gearbox and diff oil changed too and Bob gave the zed a good check over, probably because he didn’t want it breaking down whilst on the trip because I was going with him She also had a new set of Michelin PSS on the rear ready for Scotland’s weather as the old ones was getting a little low and could be a bit dicey at times A new battery was fitted this spring as the old one was no longer holding charge, despite being on a trickle charger over winter. The old one had lasted 8 years so I guess I can’t complain 😂 so went with the same Bosch one I’d had previously Then it was time to do something I’ve wanted to do for years and since events which have happened this year had given me the time I thought it was about time ! So I set to transforming the Zeds hideaway. She’s now sorn and tucked up for winter until next year when the story will continue !

  5. Here’s my car, hope you like it.
  6. Last week
  7. Hi and welcome along. Lets have a look at your car then?
  8. Hey everyone, I’m Rhett Calloway. I’ve got a 2007 350Z, which is what brought me here. Quick heads-up: I work for BONOSS, so keep that in mind if I bring up anything related to the company. Looking forward to learning from you all, getting advice on maintenance and mods, and checking out your builds. Feel free to ask me anything!
  9. Tarmac Sportz, Derby way I think
  10. Safety first, so I'd check discs and pads/replace if necessary, and get the fluid flushed. New boots if the tyres are illegal. Followed by oil, filters etc, a full service. Then have fun with it.... you'll figure out what sort of 350z you want, no need to force it. Tarmac Sportz would be your local specialist I imagine.
  11. Sold - thread locked.
  12. I have recently bought it, thanks
  13. Hello all, in a similar boat. Got a 350 recently and it goes ok. But what would you do if you had, say, £700-£1,200 tops to spend on it (in terms of preventative maintenance/work to keep it off the hard shoulder?) 52,000 miles on the clock. No service record. Thanks for any advice. Happy to drive to a good specialist and leave the car for a day or 2, explore local area as I wait (annual leave to use or lose this side of Xmas!) I am in Derbyshire.
  14. Hi there, I am in Buxton, SK17. Is Cougar Store still recommended for 350z work? Or any other recommendations within 1-2hrs of Buxton, if CS is not still a specialist or not trading, etc?
  15. Got sent a couple pics of mine from today meet
  16. Thanks guys, appreciate it.
  17. Autumn 🍁🍂 Midlandz meet, brilliant turnout for single digit temps 27 cars and a host of new members 🥳 M6 motorway service pre meet The Blue Liars pub for breakfast
  18. Not missing anything fella 👍
  19. Cars been on the dyno! Sadly twice. Had some major ignition issues on the first try. I just changed the sparkplugs and reused the old coils that came with the engine. That was stupid but lesson learned. New set of coils and new set of NGK plugs fixed the issue. Car is a fuc"!%# beast now. Old engine dynoed 225 on the flywheel. This one put down 255whp. Along with the 6 speed and my 4.27 diff gearing its just mental. Will spin the tyres 1-2-3 gear. Car only weighs 1140kg/2500lbs without driver. Going to change the final drive to a 3.64 during the winter. Put togheter a few clips from yesterday and a drive from today. Enjoy!
  20. Same as mine, don't think they have one there.
  21. Hello all. Might be imagining things, but am I missing one of my undertrays? Can anyone confirm whether there should be an undertray or shield covering this area? I'm wondering if one is missing! The two O2 sensor connectors look like they're pretty exposed there... but I just might not have noticed that before. 2005 350Z Roadster if that makes a difference...
  22. Awh yeah. Would you look at that. Its actually a big difference. But still. At least you know what it looks like underneath. Sometimes underseal is just hiding the rust. The subframe off to have a look underneath is a big job. Not sure its worth it unless you are doing another job at the same time.like subframe bushes or something..
  23. Mines a JDM so notoriously lack of undersealing. My previous attempt with Dynax and the odd bit of stone chip … couldn’t get above the rear subframe though.
  24. Honestly, i'm not sure. I assumed all 350s had an underseal like this. It's been on it since I bought it. But maybe someone before me threw some underseal at it before it came my way. Il take that as a win. As god knows, they love rust. Do other people's look like this?
  25. I did mine, too, during my refurb. Pointless, but without it it’s not as satisfying. what’s the black under your pin and across the wider pan area? Just paint or some kind of stone chip/lanoguard? I’m thinking of dropping my rear subframe as the bits under the mounts are looking really crusty. A

  27. Another little bit of refreshing. While i'm rooting in the area. Noticed the rear tie down point was looking pretty nasty. I relaise they aren't really needed and im sure allot if folt just throw them away. Looks like they are discontinued now also. So gave it a bit of a wire brush. Rust converter and paint. Along with some new bolts. The usual m10 1.25 threaded, flanged bolts . These seem to be used in allot this car in numerous places.
  28. My old girl made the trip down to Southern Spain again last year. 1500 miles over three days.
