GreenLandy Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 Which bank is 1? I have a P0340 error - suggesting the bank 1 camshaft sensor is dud. So I ordered one yesterday from CMS: http://www.clarkmoto...eft/23731-AL61A This states bank 1, left hand side, and angled. I have just gone to change it, and looking for instructions on the Nissan service manual, shows that bank 1 is the driver's (ie right hand) side, and is the straight sensor. Can anyone confirm which I should be replacing? At £85 a pop I don't fancy changing them for the sake of it. Quote
ZMANALEX Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 (edited) Bank 1 is driver's side providing you are driving a RHD car. Bank 1 has the straight sensor. Edited July 2, 2015 by ZMANALEX Quote
GreenLandy Posted July 2, 2015 Author Posted July 2, 2015 Thought so...... Not so well done by CMS then. Quote

Keyser Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 It's good that bank 1 and bank 2 thing - they do it as you look at the engine from standing in front so Bank one is on the left - which logically is the right if you are sitting in the car 1 Quote
Zeezeebaba Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 I only knew the answer to this because my bank 2 cat is faulty and it's on the passenger side Quote
