350zed1993 Posted June 25, 2015 Posted June 25, 2015 Ok so iv just replaced the potenza re050a tyres at the rear of my z with goodyear eagle f1's I have re050a on the front on the car and now the front keep losing grip and the tracton contol kicking in on bends coming home from work. It never used to do this. IV had a look at the load ratings and the rears are 100y. The fronts however are 91 w. Could this be the issue ?? Quote
Ekona Posted June 25, 2015 Posted June 25, 2015 Nothing to do with load ratings, all to do with mixed tyres. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/36637-mixing-tyres-and-why-you-really-shouldnt/ However, it's more likely you're still running the release agent off the rears. How many miles have they done now? Quote
350zed1993 Posted June 25, 2015 Author Posted June 25, 2015 Hmm interesting thread think I may have to swap them. The missus will not be happy í ½í±Ž. They have done just have 70 miles ish. Quote

Ekona Posted June 25, 2015 Posted June 25, 2015 70 miles is nothing, take it very easy until you've done 150 ish, see how it is then. They're both very good tyres, just be aware of the imbalance in the wet then change the fronts to match when they get down to 3mm. Quote

Ebized Posted June 25, 2015 Posted June 25, 2015 If not much tread left at the front certainly change those to match the new rears Quote
