ts743 Posted May 8, 2015 Posted May 8, 2015 I've just had my car aligned twice... and it's persistently pulling to the left. It's not really aggressive, but I can't take my hand off the wheel on a flat straight road (not that that's common practice!) without it veering over notably. All appears to be in spec using a hunter machine, but it was reading front camber with a couple of degrees discrepancy between left and right, which is odd given that it's stock and there's no camber adjustment?! Thoughts? Quote
ZMANALEX Posted May 8, 2015 Posted May 8, 2015 May be a tyre issue, however remember that most roads camber to the left. Quote
ts743 Posted May 8, 2015 Author Posted May 8, 2015 Brand new tyres all round. It's a definite pull, even taking into account possible road camber Quote
ZMANALEX Posted May 8, 2015 Posted May 8, 2015 (edited) If tyre pressures are all good, swop your front wheels round and report back. Edited May 8, 2015 by ZMANALEX Quote
ZMANALEX Posted May 8, 2015 Posted May 8, 2015 If tyre pressures are all good, swop your front wheels round and report back. Although this wont help if you have a cat C and a bent chassis. 1 Quote
codders Posted May 8, 2015 Posted May 8, 2015 Brand new tyres all round. How new? Tyres can do odd things the first 500 miles or so. Quote
ts743 Posted May 9, 2015 Author Posted May 9, 2015 Directional yes, GoodYear Eagle F1's, not a CAT C or bent... that I know of! Tyres have done about 3-500 miles since fitting Quote
Neilp Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 A couple of degree camber difference on the front is huge. Could be worn bushes or shocks etc. Quote
ts743 Posted May 11, 2015 Author Posted May 11, 2015 Need to get someone to check this out as its a bit beyond me! I'm Shrewsbury based but seldom use garages - any recommendations for somewhere that's familiar with Zeds? Quote
PPod Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 Had a pull to the left with original wheels then got all new alloys and wheels all round and still have pull to left when I am on a straight and let go of wheel. But its nothing huge so not really bothering me. Quote
Zeezeebaba Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 Mine follows the camber of the road occasionally but otherwise it's normal. When my n/s lower arm bush was knackered it pulled harder to the left. All good now though. Quote
