are headers/manifolds worth it ?

just wondering your thoughts on this, would the gains that you would get from this mod be worth the money, i will be getting them mapped eventually

 

what brand do you recommend and which is best stainless or ceramic coated ?

 

my mechanic didnt seem to think they would make much difference because of the size or the originals but he aint no tuner so would like some more info

I looked into this a few months ago. A mate of mine who runs a tuning company can get me a set of headers for £400 but estimated 8-10 hours work fitting them.

 

From what ive read the costs far outweigh the small gains that you will get.

Ive been offered some VERY cheap as my importer mate got sent them in error. Tempted to put them on - has anyone seen gains with them or is it another noise mod??

Not worth it mate as the OE ones are fine from what i hear
